I haven't done one of these in a while! Whatley, MA >> Waterbury, VT to pick up a Ben & Jerry's load >> Covington, TN I'm excited I'm going to the main plant and not the one in Saint Albans. This is the site of the original Scoop Shop and I can restock Frozen Flakes ice cream!!! (You can't get this anywhere else except at this location. Cereal milk ice cream with bits of "frosted flakes cereal" mixed in.) Going to stop on the way and buy a freezer cooler to store the ice cream I buy, since my truck freezer is SO TINY. Home made egg rolls! Brown 1 pound of ground protein of choice. (I used ground pork.) Chop very finely 1/2 cup each of carrots and mung bean sprouts. Brown meat with white pepper, ginger powder, onion powder, and garlic powder. Add in sauce made of 2.5 tablespoons dark soy sauce, 2 tablespoons oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon mirin, and 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar. When done, let mixture cool completely in a separate dish. Then fill rolls, and fry in peanut oil until brown. Serve hot with your favorite dumpling dipping sauce.
