No kidding? I would have thought they’d keep chocolates stocked in the Hufflepuff common room to keep you out of trouble! [ He pulls out a chocolate chip cookie from his cookie, untouched by the rest of the mess. ] For you, Lady Bones.

What?! Bloody hell, wish someone told me that before! I’ve been sneaking food since first year! Suppose it is more fun this way, though. Messier too. [ He begins picking food off his clothes with a grimace. ] 

Sorry you had to see me like this, Susan, you can thank Peeves for that in that case. What are you doing up so late, anyway?

[laughs lightly and pulls out her wand to help him clean off the mess] You learn a few things after living by the kitchens so long and after many, many trips for food. Though you never know the things Peeves gets up to.

I… was just curious. Not mad, really. Wasn’t like I was trying to sneak into the leftovers.

[walks in and is in shock at the sight] Oh Merlin, are you okay? [shakes her head slightly] Peeves must have done this. The house elves never mind if we take the leftovers since they always make new fresh food every day.

Sounds interesting enough. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone interested in working for the ministry. I here the stress turns your hair white! [He chuckled] Y’know, maybe when you’re up for it you could tell me about what went down. I’m sure it’s hard to talk about though.

I'm not too worried about my hair turning white. Most people think a Ministry job is boring and whatnot, but everyone in my family at one point or another has worked at the Ministry. [smiles slightly and nods] Yeah, let's just enjoy the weather while we can.

I’m sorry, did I make you upset? I don’t know everything about the entire situation, sorry if I was a little insensitive there. [He placed a gentle hand on her shoulder and began walking with her toward the grounds] So tell me, if not quidditch, what is it you like to do?

[shakes her head and is a bit surprised from his hand on her shoulder but doesn't shrug it off] Oh no. It's been difficult for a lot of people to talk about. It's not your fault at all. [walks, taking time to think about the question] I'm not horribly interesting but I like to bake and read. I've always liked Charms, but I know I want to work for the Ministry.

Zacharias…[Llew chuckled just saying the name] Yeah, he’s had some horror stories. But he was one of the best chaser’s we’ve had. [He leaned back on his heels and back to the balls of his feet] You mind if I strolled with you?

Yeah, I know it's been hard for him not being able to fly since his expulsion... [trails off, not exactly wanting to go into her personal thoughts about the incident with the Waynes and lightly smiles at his offer instead] I don't mind at all. The company would be nice.

That’ll be fun! I really don’t get out to any cities much. Godric’s Hollow is mostly just houses and small shops with the essentials. The Abbotts all live down the same lane, it’s rare for them all to be home at the same time during the summer, but it’ll still be nice getting away from all of that.

I think you'll love Liverpool. There's a large wizarding community there, but the few times I've been to the muggle side it's been rather nice. They did seem obsessed with I think football was it called? Everyone was walking around wearing red shirts.

Yeah? I might just take you up on that. My Uncle Giffard and Aunt Madeline offered me a place on their vacation for the summer. I’ll probably end up staying home with Granddad though, his letters are pretty vague about how he’s actually doing. His baking is awful, so I might need you in case of a sweet emergency.

You can stop by anytime. Mum loves having my friends over for company and would probably send you home with a package of cookies for your granddad too. We could even go out for a day in Liverpool if you want. It's a slight different from London, but it'll be such fun.

That is really great of him. You’ll be fantastic at it by the time exams come around. 

As much as I love spending the majority of my year here, it started to become, rem- what’s the word for it, depressing? Maybe? It started to become a bit depressing around the time we were supposed to have Christmas break.

I just miss my parents so much. And - [pauses for brief moment, deciding she should be sensitive about opening up a fresh wound] You know, you're always welcome to come over during the summer. There's homemade cookies all year long.

[Laughs slightly] Apparation is probably my least favorite. It’s so- you know, risky? I suppose that’s the word for it. It’ll all be completely worth it in the next few months when we’ll have our licenses

[nods in agreement] I'm still a bit shaky after splinching my leg, but Twycross has been surprisingly understanding instead of his usual stingy self when I went for extra lessons. I can't wait to for the new few months to pass so we'll finally be able to go home.

I'm so glad to hear that. I know after any situation like that, it's really hard to try and get back to how things were. I've been well myself, nothing too excitement. I suppose just trying to stay afloat from all our assignments especially with from apparation.

I'm not too erm sure how the Ministry would respond to that. It might get buried underneath all their other paperwork.

You don't need to tell me anymore, I've heard many so stories from Zacharias throughout the years. He's also tried many times to get me to fly, but that's a whole separate issue. [shakes her head slightly and shrugs] I was only going to stroll through the grounds.

I'll definitely try to make it since quidditch matches are always a lot of fun to watch, or at least they are when someone doesn't get terribly injured.

Yeah, totally! It’s so nice to finally go out for Quidditch practice, or just take a walk in the courtyard y’know?

Fresh air is always good, but I haven't been following quidditch as I usually do. All I know is that Krum and Oliver are scouting for players.
