Better late than never, here are my favorite songs of 2015
Iâm trying to do this thing where I actually myself to actually WRITE MORE THINGS, however short, in 2016, so here goes, something easy, my favorite three songs of 2015:
âBillions of Eyesâ off After by Lady Lamb the Beekeeper
After, the sophomore album by Lady Lamb (stage name of singer-songwriter Aly Spaltro), is chock-full of this really beautiful, confident, layered folk rock that'll punch you in the ears. "Billions of Eyes" is bouncier and less grungy than the rest of the album, but it'll still make you want to stomp around and sing along.
â10,000 Emerald Poolsâ off Dopamine by BĂRNS
This psychedelic pop song is groovy and croony with layered vocals and the most subtle backing synth. It's perfect sunny-day music.Â
âSurvivalâ off Momentary Lapse of Happy by Adult Mom
All I ever want in a band is a weird name and emo lyrics set to pop music, and Adult Mom delivers on all fronts. "Survival" toes the line of being just a little too melodramatic, but it's pretty and will make you nostalgic for all the angsty music you listened to in high school â with the added bonus of lyrics about making boys cry.
