- theyre all roommates. D'arce left her shitty boyfriend (le'garde) and needed a new plaxe, ragnvaldr is an exchange student, enki owns the damn house and cahara moved from his home city for school.

- enki has one other friend, that being nosramus. sometimes he and nosramus will disappear for days at a time and at first cahara and d'arce thought they were dating but it turns out they were reading the entire time
- ragnvaldr has a dog. her name is moonless.
- d'arce goes to therapy every week and ragnvaldr drives her there.
- cahara's a widow, celeste passed away a year ago. he's still grieving, but most of his fun-guy bravado comes from that insecurity
