Carina’s first impression of Verona was a huge gathering of people all watching something but she couldn’t quite make out what. “Is something going on? Or is this just normal for Verona?”
“Street performer.” Cordelia responds with an annoyed huff. “Same guy every weekend. Charms the euro riiiiiight outta the pockets of unsuspecting tourists...all while making my walk to the market that much more annoying.”
“Um, is there a bathroom nearby? It started raining while I was waiting for the bus…” Drying off with a few paper towels was better than nothing.
Cordelia, who had been servicing a client at the very moment she recognized her shy cousins voice, set down her shears and rushed to Sebastian’s side. “Bast! Good God, you’re soaked straight through to the bone!” Snapping her fingers, one of her stylists rushed forward with a warm towel which Cordelia promptly draped over the young man’s shoulders. “Come with me to the employee lounge, dearie. Can’t be having you catching your death so early in the new year!”
“Well, that’s unfortunate.”
Lysander shook his head and stared down at the coffee stain that now dotted the front of his crisp white shirt. “This is why I never drink coffee before court. I always end up with it spilled all over me.” He shook his head and removed his shirt so he could stare at the stain. “Any tips on getting a coffee stain out?” He raised an eyebrow at the nearest person to him.
“Oh dear, that’s a right old stain, innit?” Cordelia quipped with a smirk, looking at Lysander’s shirt. “Lucky for you, I know just the thing...but we’ll have to find our way to a kitchen, quickly!”

Subject: New year, new opportunities
Happy New Year and I hope you all have a wonderful year ahead.
I apologise for sending this on mass but I haven’t had time to see everyone individually but I’d like you to hear from me and not through the Verona grapevine or Pippa’s speculation. I am leaving tomorrow to spend a month in Rome. I’ve been offered the chance to work with some of Italy’s top physical therapists on a research project which I will continue my part of once I return to Verona in February. My phone will be with me and my email works so I expect you all to keep in contact and I will see you next month.

Cordelia: So, when are you coming to pick me up for our date?

“I have a parcel to pick up at the post office and since I’m going to the care home this afternoon I thought I’d combine the trip,” Megan explained. “No need to ask how you are though Miss, business is clearly booming. The salon looks beautiful with all the decorations.”
“Thank you very much, dearie! Wish I could take all the credit for it, but alas, I have been blessed with the most creative and talented staff in all of Italy if ya ask me!” Cordelia’s heart ached as she spoke, sensing the remnants of sadness behind Megan’s eyes, and for a brief moment she wished she had some space in her schedule to squeeze the girl in. A girl whom, though only 10 yeas her junior, was like a little sister. She bit her tongue through the whole saga with Oz, and knew not to bring it up now, but she still couldn’t shake the intense desire to drag Megan to the spa and pamper her silly.
Rounding the counter, Cordelia gently reached for Megan’s hair, threading her fingers through it lightly before beginning a loose, yet elegant, french braid. “After the holidays are over, I better see you in my chair, little Miss.”

Cordelia: And I think I've waited long enough for a socially acceptable reply! ;-)
Cordelia: How are you, love? Has the electricity sorted itself?
Angel had really hoped that he could get Olivia in for Christmas, but it appeared that wasn’t the case. He was flipping through his phone, trying to think about what to do when he realized the woman was still speaking. He blushed and then spoke softly, “I uh… A gift certificate will probably do, miss.” He could give it to her for Christmas instead of surprising her with it during that week.
“Angel, innit?” The Domme asked with a smirk, recognizing the taciturn submissive from the mechanics shop. “I’d be delighted to ring you up for a gift certificate, dearie, but there’s no need to be so shy. I don’t bite...” She gently pressed, noting how out of place he was in her grandiose salon.
“...hard.”
Marisol’s breath gets stuck in her throat at the Domme’s gentle contact and she just stares at her dumbly but follows the instructions, realizing that if she doesn’t calm down, her Spanglish will make an appearance. “I was kinda kidding?”, she says sheepishly, tilting her head slightly to the side, further into Miss Cordelia’s hand.
Honestly, Marisol had forgotten all about the power surge and the busted amplifier. But she thinks she’s gonna keep the broken thing just as a… reminder. She nods along attentively with the Domme’s words, taking the business card like its made of pure gold. “It sounds perfect… No judgment on how early this later texting you is, Miss Cordelia?” Seriously, what is wrong with her.
Cordelia smirks, tickled by the younger woman’s enthusiasm, “It was a pleasure meeting you, sweetheart.” With a nod and playful wink, the Domme grabs her apron and makes her way toward the spa. With just a little extra pep in her step.

If Mateo was unsure, he tried not letting it show. Cordelia’s gentle command helped him ease down into basin. And once her hands started running through his hair, he was little more than putty in the domme’s hands.
“Mm, I’m almost half-tempted to let you, ma’am. I see why the girls are always here getting this done…” Too bad he wasn’t rich or else he’d be here constantly for Cordelia to work on him. “Thank you, again, for seeing me on short notice. I owe you something good.”
Cordelia always sensed an air of sadness around the young man currently in her shampoo basin. And it wasn’t a terribly pervasive sadness either, but it was palpable. Each time he’d escorted one of the many regal Romano women to her salon, she couldn’t help but give the scruffy sub an appreciative scratch behind the each, or impromptu scalp massage. She also adored his hair. His eyes were kind, and his demeanor gentle, so making room to give Mateo a quick trim was a no brainer for the Domme. Seeing his contented face below the frothy suds filled her heart with gladness, and she increases the pressure of her ministrations against his scalp--an impromptu massage.
His words earn a chuckle from the Domme as she suddenly pictures the reticent submissive with an elegant french twist, while wearing scuffed Doc Martens, and she lightly swatted his shoulder at the suggestion of an IOU. “Nonsense, you owe me absolutely nothing for this trim, little wolf. I’m happy to do it, and ‘tis the season, after all!”
