“Black would be fine - don’t want to be too flashy, now do we?” Lupo smirked. “Yes, baby girl - upsell. Add in accessories, suggest other things I might need. You must be new at selling, aren’t you?” He tsk’ed, shaking his head, as he reached into his pocket to pull out a neat stack of ten thousand euro. He flopped it onto the counter. “This oughta cover the tuba, the case, as well as a little tip for your discretion. Do me good and I might be back for another one.”
Marisol nodded stiffly, “Black it is, Sir.” She typed away on her computer. “Accessories? Like an extra mouthpiece, the cleaning and maintenance kit? Would you be interested in that?” She shook her head, blushing even more, “I am very amateur indeed, Sir. My natural talent is playing the instruments, but I get to do both here.” She said softly, trying to relax while still focused on her screen. Her eyes widened comically at the sight of the bills on the counter. So much more cash than she had ever seen at once. “Oh, wow. Are you sure, Sir? Your total comes around to a little over €9,600.” That was a huge tip. So huge that it did make some of Marisol’s nerves melt away.

“Ah, how sweet,” Lilith said, maintaining a pretense of modesty. Any submissive would be honored to be in her property too, she thought. “Perhaps I can try it? Find out if the shoe fits?”
Marisol gave the Domme a small, respectful nod with her head. “Oh, absolutely, Miss. You can try them all if you wish.” She reached up to gently unhook the Bunnel from its stand, handing it to the woman delicately, with reverence to the instrument. “Here you go, Miss. I personally tune and take care of every instrument in this store, so they are ready to be played at any moment. I hope you find it okay.”

“I’m afraid the damage was too big, I don’t think you would manage to fix it,” he knew that she didn’t mean to break his guitar, he was a little mad at her though, his friend got to his place completely wasted, and just let the guitar fall down off the window, despite the fact that he lived on the third floor, it still broke it. “Acoustic, my electric one is still intact, thank god, but I will make sure to hide it from my friend next time that she goes to my place drunk, the last thing I want is for another one to be broken.”
Marisol grimaced sympathetically, “I am very sorry for your loss, Sir. We’ve all been there before. I managed to trip on my own feet and crack one of my violins. She didn’t have a cure either.” She shrugs and motions to the wall where the guitars are hanging. “We also got pretty foolproof solid cases, I think they are drunk proof too.” She adds with a slight chuckle. “So, what brand was your defunct guitar, Sir? Would you like to stick with that brand or do you know what you like? We got the usual ones: Gibson, Guild, Seagull, you name it. But we also got some made right here in this shop, by yours truly. And we custom make in case you’re feeling adventurous.”

“Money is not an object,” Sophia assured her. “I can’t imagine why it would need customised, I assume it comes with a case. Now do you deliver only in the city or can you deliver internationally?” The woman’s flustered words only spurred Sophia on as an idea for a gift was forming in her mind.
Nodding along, still very confused, Marisol tried to keep up with the woman’s words. Who still hadn’t told her what instrument she was talking about. It was driving Marisol a little crazy. “We could deliver internationally. Again, ma’am, it depends on the product. If we have it in stock here, we can send that same one overseas or wherever you wish. We can also send it from wherever it’s in stock.”

“Thank you darling, I will hopefully not be too much of a mess too help. Despite knowing absolutely nothing about music.” He said with a nod of his head. Really, he hoped it would go well to find gifts for his oldest child t least. His son was far easier. “She is twenty two, so not exactly the little girl she was once upon a time. But she had mentioned being interested in learning the piano, so I was thinking maybe something like a piano, or a keyboard?”
“Don’t mention it, Sir. And I’m sure you’ll be just fine. You’ll have a great gift for your daughter in no time.” Winter holidays were really such a great time to work at a music store, with people trying to get gifts for their loved ones. “Well, I might dare to say that it’s easier to please a twenty two year old than a ten year old... Maybe they change their minds a little less and um, maybe don’t ask for a unicorn as a present.” She fills the silence amicably, walking to the keyboard section. “So, for a beginner I would definitely recommend a digital keyboard, Sir. Casio and Yamaha are the favorite brands, but Yamaha’s newest model really steals the show. It comes with different sounds, built-in songs, a CD and you can connect it to the computer to discover so many more features.” She motions to the Portable Grand Piano she’s talking about. “Right here.”

Kassandra listened as the young lady spoke, glad to hear that she was very knowledgable about her instruments and all the supplies. Walking further in, Kassandra let her eyes wash over the instruments on display. Her fingers delicately glided across the top of a piano. “A dark rosin, please,” she said softly with a smile. “I have some experience playing, but it has been some time since I last played,” she admitted. “Do you happen to have Melos?” she asked.
“Absolutely, ma’am. We’ve got nothing but the finest things to take care of the instruments of Verona.” Marisol said smiling widely as she motioned to the jars of rosin behind her. “The violin, ma’am?” She asks quietly, “May I ask how long?” She takes the selected jar and presents it to the brunette. “Of course we do, it is definitely a favorite of the fans.”

Cordelia steps forward, and gently cups Marisol’s face, leveling her gaze and stopping the submissive from rambling. “Marisol, honey, relax.” A pause. “Breathe in…” She exaggeratedly sucks in air, “and out.” she releases the breath and smirks. “You are worthy of a dessert from La Romana. Quit it with that talk!”
After a moment, she released Marisol’s cheeks and reaches into the pocket of her blazer for her personal ink pen. She takes a business card and begins to write on the back of it. “Truth be told, it is an incredibly busy time for me, and at the moment, I’ve got some spa clients I really need to attend to. However, this is my mobile number, send me a text later so that I will have yours. We can sort the details of this dinner later on. How does that sound, love?”
Marisol’s breath gets stuck in her throat at the Domme’s gentle contact and she just stares at her dumbly but follows the instructions, realizing that if she doesn’t calm down, her Spanglish will make an appearance. “I was kinda kidding?”, she says sheepishly, tilting her head slightly to the side, further into Miss Cordelia’s hand.
Honestly, Marisol had forgotten all about the power surge and the busted amplifier. But she thinks she’s gonna keep the broken thing just as a... reminder. She nods along attentively with the Domme’s words, taking the business card like its made of pure gold. “It sounds perfect... No judgment on how early this later texting you is, Miss Cordelia?” Seriously, what is wrong with her.

She can see two of her stylists in her immediate periphery, giving their boss a good natured eye-rolling at what was unfolding in the salon lobby. Cordelia knew she had a natural effervescence about her, and she was excited that her reputation preceded her enough to earn an impromptu date with a beautiful stranger. “The Priory is perfectly fine, dearie; it’s one of my favorites, as a matter of fact!” Cordelia playfully replies, arms crossed over her chest and smirk growing. She’s also unable to fight the light blush that blooms on her cheeks. “As for dessert, are you plannin’ to order it for me? Or perhaps permit me the chance to take you to one of my favorite places for dessert in Verona.”
Marisol has to hold back the bouncing of her feet and a happy squeal, beaming widely and nodding instead. “Yes, The Priory it is then! As for dates, um... I realize it’s a busy season for people but I’m like always around. So whichever date you want is perfectly fine for me, Miss Cordelia.” Marisol giggles and looks down at her feet shrugging, “I wouldn’t even dare to order for you, Miss. Especially not after knowing you have such a sweet tooth. But I would love to see your favorite dessert place. I hardly think I am worthy of said place.”

The Domme released Marisol’s hand in that instant, looking at the submissive in stunned silence. “Dinner? Did you just…” Cordelia becomes momentarily uncalibrated by the bold (albeit sneaky) tactic employed by Marisol. Suddenly she wonders if the electricity truly was on the fritz at Adagio or not, Sometimes all anyone needs is an in, so to speak. And the more the Domme considers it, the more flattered she becomes. Still, the Elephant in the Salon is impossible to ignore: they are twenty years apart. Adulthood is only just beginning for Marisol, whereas Cordelia–despite her occasional penchant for good natured immaturity–was already very set in her adult ways.
But a date is a date, and Cordelia hadn’t been on a proper date in quite some time. So why not? The Domme finally nods.
“I accept your kind offer, sweetheart, but must also warn you that my secrets a truly bought with desserts.”
Miss Cordelia had released Marisol’s hand and for a second, the submissive wants to go back in time and not have said anything at all. Mierda, mierda, mierda. Had it been too soon? Too bold? Maybe she should have waited to have more than one conversation exchanged between the two of them before springing on the Domme and... She said yes. The nod made Marisol’s eyes widen in surprise before she regains her composure, beaming at the brunette. “Really, Miss? I mean... Is The Priory, okay? I’ve never been. Not to dine, just like... To play. When they want to make it even more fancy. But I have heard it’s great and... I’ll be honored, Miss Cordelia.” She rambles excitedly.
“Any kind or could I maybe get a hint on your favorites? Or favorite. Um, for research.”

Marisol’s hand is calloused and articulate. Clearly the hands of a musician. An artist. Cordelia can appreciate it, the mutual connection of having careers predicated of their hands.
“Oh goodness…it’s been here longer than I’ve been alive so…” Cordelia’s voice trails, sobering quickly “…twenty five years.”
Suddenly the Domme, and a few hairdressers within earshot, erupt into belly laughter.
Marisol purposely doesn’t let go of the Domme’s hand. Dominants rule and she’s gonna let Miss Cordelia decide when she wants to let go. Sneaky plan.
It takes a full second for the joke to process in Marisol’s brain and when it does, she looks around delighted, laughing along with the Domme and her staff. “Well, maybe in exchange for dinner you can maybe tell me a little bit about your secret, Miss. Because I am twenty five and like you, I would love to stay twenty five forever looking as good as you.” She says innocently, yet with some of her flirty nature peeking out.

Lupo’s brows raised, figuring he’d gotten off easier than anticipated. “That price include a case to store it in?” he asked, crossing his arms over his chest. “If not, I’ll need that too.” Watching the confusion and uncertainty on the girl’s face was getting more amusing by the second. “C’mon, baby girl, at least try to upsell me. I got the cash, I promise you.”
“Uh... No, Sir. But of course, Sir. I’ll ring it in for you...”, she said as she moved to type on the store’s computer. “Any preference on the color of the case? We just have the one model so there’s not a lot to choose from.” Her voice fades a little at the end of her sentence as her nerves keep growing. “U-Upsell?” She’s not familiar with the term. “All our prices are, um... Set. I can’t really... move them and...” She blanked for a second, “You’re paying with cash, Sir?”
