“I think they miss the fact you can have a deep massage with hot stones or you can have a gentle, relaxing massage.  I totally agree with you although a little pain never really hurt anyone did it now?”

“Oh handsome, you know I’m all about adventure.  And how is that book going?  I’ve been waiting patiently for a call to say it’s ready.”

Aoife bit back a chuckle at the response, coupled with the man’s serious expression.  “Perhaps the management would permit you to assess their health and safety protocol and then you would be able to assure yourself that you are perfectly safe.  In the meantime I may risk moving further and getting a drink.”

Lin clammed up, feeling a bit like he was being made fun of. He rarely knew what to say in conversation unless he was discussing his work. “I…don’t think that’s necessary…” He looked down at his beer and then at the woman again. “Okay. Enjoy your evening, miss.”

Sophie was all about self-care, especially now, so she knew she wouldn’t wait to make an appointment. She took the card with a smile, safely tucking it into her purse. “Thank you so much! Do you guys do hot stone massages? It’s been too long since I’ve had one.” 

Aoife’s smile grew wide, “We most certainly do.  It is one of our most popular treatments and a personal favorite.  I always enjoy finding someone who knows just how amazing they are.  Too many people are put off by the idea of hot stones and miss out.”

“That would be wise,” Lin said. “Though I suspect the mats might cause more tripping.”

Did she say something wrong? Rory took notice of the narrowing of the woman’s eyes and how the way she spoke changed as well. There was a sharpness to her words now; and it threw the brunette submissive for a loop. “N-Nail colors are always nice.” She finally spoke up after several long seconds contemplating whether she should even speak up again. And once the words left her lips, her mind began to race. Had the blonde even said nail colors? Had she read the other’s lips correctly in the first place? She was too preoccupied with the negative shift in the other’s facial expressions to have been paying as much attention as she usually did.

“Yes they are.  Don’t let me keep you from chasing your rainbows dear,” Aoife replied as she turned back to the store window she was looking in.

Toby knew he looked guilty as hell when he approached the other, but that didn’t stop him from power walking up to them, wrapping his arm around their shoulder and smiling. “Hey, so, if anyone asks, we’ve been together all day and I absolutely was nowhere near the reservoir, cool?” he asked with a hopeful smile, praying they’d go along with his story.

“Watch the floor!” Gabi poked her head out from the doorway into the kitchen, where she was trying to do too many things at once. “We had a cupcake catastrophe earlier and my assistant is on a delivery.” She had to take the cookies out of the oven to cool, and find the mop and cleaner, and try to get the floor cleaned up before someone slipped in the icing. “I’ll be right there if you need any help!”

When Javan heard the door open, he didn’t look up from the pan on the stove. “You’re just in time. I’ve almost finished this and I need a taste tester.”

“Then lucky me,” Aoife smirked as she moved over to the nearest seat and sat down.  “Do I get to know in advance what it is?”

With a smile, Morgan obliged, happy to keep the Domme company for now before they both returned to work.  Seeing the scones on display, the submissive nodded.  “Definitely those.  I think… I think those are some of the sweet ones, but if you prefer savory, sometimes they have those too.  Surprisingly, the savory ones seem to run out the quickest,” she noted.  With a look of surprise at the question, Morgan nearly hesitated before reciting her usual coffee order.  “I hope you’re not picking up the tab, miss.  Please, let me.”  Pulling her wallet out from her purse, Morgan had her card ready before the Domme could try to argue.

“You definitely have me sold on the idea of the strawberry scones,” Aoife grinned.  “I never really saw the point of savoury ones to be honest but then that’s no doubt my sweet tooth leading again.”  She placed her order and moved slightly to the side to allow Morgan to do hers but before she could reach into her purse the submissive was already pulling out her wallet.  “That is very kind of you beautiful, especially since I effectively hijacked you to come here.  The next time we inadvertently meet for coffee it will be on me.”

Having never worn heels before, Lin hadn’t thought about what a hazard it might be to do so while drinking. He wondered how strong his ankles were. How did one find out? “I’m glad you weren’t hurt. It’d be bad to add to that number of injuries.” 

“Indeed, although maybe they put out strategically placed crash mats after a certain time,” Aoife teased.

“I totally wouldn’t mind a hot tub, I mean I work as a housekeeper, so I am on my feet and moving all day. So a nice relaxing soak in a hot tub would do me good.” She smiled and nodded to the woman’s explanation. 

“Perfect and I am quite sure there are other people who think like us too.  I think I will begin drafting my proposal letter when I get home.”

“A magazine, so I suppose the nails aren’t vital, but you know how it is.” Freddie always felt better when she had her makeup and nails done well, and she couldn’t think of anyone better than Aoife to take care of that. “All right, that should be great then. I’ll make a calendar note so I actually remember to do it.”

“It doesn’t matter whether they matter, it matters if it makes you feel good.  If you feel confident then you will come across with more confidence and that’s what we all need in these situations.”  Aoife smiled over, “You know I would fit you in another time if necessary.  Who am I to get in the way of the demands of stardom after all?”

As the woman began to speak up, Rory’s eyes fell to watching her lips, only somewhat catching the second half of what was said. “It’s always perfect weather for rainbows, Miss.” After all, rainbows could technically appear even when there hadn’t previously been any rain. It was uncommon; but it was possible. Plus it was June… An entire month just for rainbows. “They may not always be in the sky; but they’re always around if you know where to look.” Rainbows were symbolic of many things, things that should hopefully appear in one’s life on a regular basis: things such as hope and happiness, promise and positivity. 

Aoife’s eye narrowed at the woman’s words which appeared to be mocking her.  “Then I will be sure to stock up on lots of nail colors,” she replied sharply, her eyes running over the sparkly outfit again.

Honestly, Rory didn’t care if anyone thought she looked ridiculous. She stopped caring how others viewed her a long, long time ago. Her rainbow unicorn fairy costume had made plenty of people smile thus far; and she’d already received dozens of compliments from individuals of all ages. Plus she’d just come from the first of many Pride Month events; and nothing could dampen her spirit. As she continued down the street in the direction of the bus stop, she caught someone’s gaze and offered them a warm smile. “Lovely weather we’re having, yeah?”

Aoife did a double take at the brightly colored unicorn walking towards her.  “It’s wonderful today, perfect weather for unicorns though not so good for rainbows.”

“Ah well, the intensity will make up for it, probably,” Nathan shrugged, still smiling. “They’ll have great memories of those five minutes for awhile at least.” Most of his relationships had only lasted about three to six months so he had no room to judge anyone. “See anyone else interesting?”

“Ah yes, the memories will last until the next one they hook in I’m quite sure.  I doubt either of them will stay single for long.”  Aoife looked around at the question, “Well that pair are in the first flourish of love.  You can tell by the tangled fingers and soppy expression......and that pair, hmm are they actually together?  They kind of look as if they don’t want anyone to see them talking.”
