Fan fiction writers write everything from short stories to full novels *for free* because they love the characters. Fan artists use their talent, again for free, to express it. I spent some time last night scrolling through my feed and I was shocked to see how cruel people can be. When I expressed this in one of my geek mom chats we decided to fight for the girls.
