But you are so young...
But you are so young…
“You are so young!” How often do you hear this? How often do you hear, “You should be living life, enjoying every minute of it. You shouldn’t waste to on guys, focus on school while you are young and can easily learn things. YOU ARE SO YOUNG!” Why is it that every time we try to tell someone about our live or things we are excited about, the common response is “you are so young” or “you have…

Often times we get caught up on focusing so much final product we forget to cherish the process it takes to get there! We all are like flowers! You start as a seed, your ideas start as seeds! You have to be nurturing, patient, gentle and show lots of love and care in order to grow! The process is sometimes a long and slow one, but in the end the beauty that comes from such growth is worth the wait 🌸 . . . What ideas, struggles, projects, or self growth are you focusing on right now? . . . #selflove #bosslady #healthylifestyle #younglivingessentialoils #flower #growth (at San Diego, California)

How full is your Suitcase?
Often times we are in need of having some form of background noise to keep us from hearing our inner thoughts. When we are driving in our cars we have to listen to music or have to be talking with someone on the phone. When we are playing on our phones, there is a need for the TV to be on in the background, though many of us aren’t really even watching the show. When we go to the gym or are…

Are you in a box?
Are you in a box?
We live in a society that places us inside a box. A box of what our image should look like, what we should be eating, what we should be posting on social media. Society has created such a checklist of criteria in order for us to be “normal” and fit in. We are told we need to have a good education, get a degree that will get us a “good job”. This “good job” will buy us the house for our family…

I am a lady of many journals! I have one in my car, my purse, a few by my bedside, my book bag! All over! I had lost this one after traveling with it last November to Beauty School! One of our tasks when we first got into sessions was to write a message to ourselves. Something that we needed to hear! When I opened my journal today and saw this sticky note of what I wrote, all I could do was smile and feel the genuine power of knowing I am worthy of an amazing life, an amazing love, genuine happiness and a life of passion and inspiration! . . . I challenge you to write down a message to yourself. What are you worthy of? What do you desire in life? You are your biggest obstacle! You are worthy of your biggest dreams and passions! . . . #passion #worthy #bosslady #healthylifestyle (at San Diego, California)
Smell the Flowers
To often we spend our days moving at a such a fast pace it feels like we are just falling forward and struggling to catch our balance. Always in a rush, a panic to get everything possible done in our day; all in the midst of trying to figure out how to just breathe and enjoy the moment. The panic builds and builds, causing a constant state of anxiety, stress, and worry. This forward falling…

We spend a lot of our life focusing on our body image. Are we thin enough? Are we to fat? Are we pretty enough? We ask our selves these questions because society forces us into a mindset that we aren’t enough unless photoshop converts our looks so we look like a magazine cover. I have been fortunate enough to be fairly thin my whole life. I can thank genetics and an active childhood for this. But with being so thin comes comments, words, and the pressure to stay thin. I always heard “I wish I could be thin like you and eat whatever I wanted” or “how do you stay so thin?”. These comments stick hard in our minds. Whether we are thin of thick. They make us watch what we eat when we are around certain people. They make us hyper aware of everything going in our body! By being thin everyone assumes you are so healthy, and are always working out and can wear whatever you want. But they don’t realize that’s not true. Sometimes eating the same amount as a growing teenage boy still never fills you up, or the pressure to stay thin makes you not want to eat at all to fit in. These pressures are draining!
Today the media focuses on striving to be thin but never really talks about the struggle of being thin, the pressures of it. Everyone just assumes we can go to the store and wear whatever is on the rack, but they don’t think about how hard it is to find clothes that actually fit because your hips are so small or your legs are so thin they are swimming in your skinny jeans, your shirts that are extra smalls are still hanging off you. Why do we put these pressures not only on ourselves but on others as well? Can’t we just let everyone find beauty in their bodies and within themselves?
About four years ago, I was down to about 110 lbs. That number crushed me. No matter what I ate or what I did, I could never gain weight and look healthy. I can always remember people commenting how skinny I was starting to look, I never felt comfortable in my clothes. I longed for just any amount of weight to stick to my body at that point. I just wanted to feel like I could walk around and not feel like my body was so fragile. Over the past 4 years I have made a promise to myself to get up to 120 lbs again. Everyone always asks me, “What girl wants to gain weight?”. This question feels like someone is stabbing me in the chest. Being thin doesn’t mean you are healthy. Gaining weight doesn’t mean I’m trying to gain 50 lbs. and loosing weight for others doesn’t mean loosing the same amount is whats needed. It’s what you feel within yourself you need to feel happy and comfortable in your own skin.
After four years of finding my inner peace with my body and actively pursuing my healthy, both mentally and physically, I am proudly 128 lbs. I proudly can no longer it into extra small clothes anymore! I am proud to no longer be a size 0! I am proud to be content with my own body! I never would have thought that I would be happy to say I’m 128 lbs. I always had a mental block that 120 lbs was the perfect number. That I shouldn’t be more or less. Over the last two years primarily, I can thank my mental health and mindset to Young Living Essential Oils and the chemical free lifestyle that has been provided me through the use of their products. As far as my ability to stay fit, the gym has played an important role as well. Even my 2-3 days a week is enough to help build muscle and work out my stresses and frustrations for a positive week. I love the support of my favorite chemical free performance enhancer and muscle recovery supplement, Aminowise. I never feel tired after the gym when using this amazing supplement or feel like my muscles aren’t getting the proper support to build and grow strong.
I want to remind everyone that no matter the comments we make towards both thin and thick women and men, we are always instilling some form of body shamming or requirement to have a certain body image. It doesn’t matter how much you weigh, or how pretty you are, if you are thin or blessed with curves, It’s your body and YOU are the only person who should be happy with it. If you aren’t change It for you, no-one else. If you need help to get to the correct mental state to get to that place, ask for help. I wouldn’t have been able to meet any of my fitness goals without my amazing personal trainers. Remember that the body you are given is yours to change, to love, to strut. I wouldn’t have been able to reach a positive and healthy mental state without the love and support of those around me. We must cherish our bodies and live for ourselves and remember that weight is only a number, but what really matters is how you feel on the inside.
128. We spend a lot of our life focusing on our body image. Are we thin enough? Are we to fat?

A Date with Yourself
Time is often spent worrying what others think of us, why people make us upset or angry, why people make us happy etc. Somehow we find ourselves at a point in life where we feel that our happiness is dependent on others opinions or thoughts about us. The way they make us feel. Why do we allow ourselves to get to this point? Imagine yourself on a date with someone, throughout this date both…
