New OC Twisted Wonderland!
Elowyne isn't part of my other OC Twisted Wonderland group; she's part of a separate Twisted Wonderland universe. And she was inspired by this song.
Elowyne Jones was born and raised in a world where witch hunts were still prevalent.
Real witches and innocent people alike were tried for witchcraft, labeled guilty before they could even plead their case. Her younger sister, Mirna, was accused of being a witch when she wasn't and was sentenced to drowning when she was just a little girl.
A young man from her village had asked for Elowyne's hand in marriage, but she refused. Unable to accept her refusal, he shouted accusations at Mirna to make Elowyne pay.
This deeply traumatized Elowyne, who did everything she could to prevent the execution. She was restrained against her will and forced to the ground, watching helplessly as her sister died. Mirna was her only remaining family, their parents having succumbed to illness.
After that, the villagers treated her with suspicion and contempt, worsening the unstable mental state and deep depression that plagued Elowyne after that fateful day.
Then anger and hatred were added to the mix. And she told herself that if they wanted a witch so badly, then they would have one. And she would take them to hell with her.
Elowyne made a pact with a dark and ancient entity, granting her dark powers.
To begin with, at nightfall, she imprisoned the entire village behind a barrier of brambles so strong and poisonous that it was impossible for anyone to escape. Many tried, but failed miserably.
For months, she tormented the village, bringing disease upon some and terror so intense that they became deeply traumatized.
In the end, she made sure to keep alive the judge who had executed her sister and tortured the boy who had made the accusations that had started it all. They suffered the most, Elowyne giving them no respite, no mercy.
When they finally died of exhaustion, Elowyne wandered through the deserted village, haunted by the absence of all its inhabitants. She savored the calm while recalling the screams of terror.
It was then that the carriage from Night Raven College appeared.
Elowyne believed it was either Death or the entity come to take her now that her vengeance was complete, and climbed aboard, unknowingly leading her to Twisted Wonderland.
Because of everything that's happened to her, Elowyne trusts no one and has a cold, distant attitude.
And after what that boy did to her sister, she's deeply disgusted with men and keeps them at arm's length.
So landing in Twisted Wonderland, in an all-boys school with no way to return to where she came from, is a living nightmare for her.
On the one hand, knowing that magic is accepted in Twisted Wonderland is a real relief in a way, but on the other hand, being in an unfamiliar world keeps her constantly on her guard.
Elowyne has a pet snake named Eloise.
Her eyes used to be a beautiful amber brown, but after making a pact with that dark entity, they turned crimson.
She looks constantly exhausted because of the dark circles under her eyes. She is. She is exhausted by everything, and every time she tries to close her eyes to get some sleep, the memory of her sister's drowning appears beneath her eyelids.
Despite being cut off from her world, she still possesses her powers.
She always carries her satchel and grimoire on her belt.
The only people she tolerates at Night Raven College are the ghosts, Grim, and, surprisingly, Professor Trein (who reminds her of her father).
The faculty and the students most sensitive to magic can sense the powerful, negative aura of magic that surrounds her. The beastmen are able to detect, with their heightened sense of smell, the stench of death, despair, and blood that constantly surrounds Elowyne.
Leona, Ruggie, Azul, Floyd, and Jade's instincts tell them to stay away from her, that she is dangerous. And they trust their instincts. They don't fuck with her.
It will take Elowyne some time to trust again and let the guys, especially Ace and Deuce at first, get close. But little by little, they manage to break down her shell, enough for her to tell them what happened to her.
