it’s okay to be bad at things you enjoy.

it’s okay to draw even if it doesn’t look how you imagined. it’s okay to paint even if it ends up messy. it’s okay if you can’t memorize formulas or do mental math. it’s okay if you can’t describe a scene perfectly with words; or if you can never get your tone just right on stage.

You can do things just to do them and because you enjoy them. You don’t need to be the best ar something to love it. You enjoying it is enough reason to keep doing it. It’s okay

Russian Blue Cat Patronus

The Russian blue cat is a symbol of magic, potency, enlightenment, peace, harmony, light, and life. Cats in general are symbolic of independence, patience, and curiosity. Russian Blues (sometimes also known as Archangel Blues) are considered very proud and cautious breeds who take a long while to warm up to strangers, but once you have earned their trust, they will be your friend for life.

Having a Russian Blue as your Patronus means you find comfort in complete trust. Like many Slytherins, you are a cautious and distrustful sort, and so you choose your friends very carefully. The nice thing about this, though, is that those precious few who do earn your friendship are true diamonds in the rough. And knowing your bond of trust runs that deep and true means the world to you. You know they’ll always be there for you, so they will become your moon and stars – you will do anything and everything for the sake of their happiness, just as much as you fight for your own. My Thoughts about Souji Okita

I guess he could be the one classified as the "bad boy" for Hakuoki.

However, looking at his behavior, it does feel like all of it is a defense mechanism. He does not want anyone near him. This make me think it's perhaps the Trauma of his sister abandoning him and then later, boys bullying him.

Which would explain his affection toward Kondou, the only person who showed him kindness. Enter Chizuru, the girl who put up with his weird defensive behavior and stood by him, it is no surprise at all that he loved her, and he was wiling to die after accidently killing her in the bad ending. She broke his shell and made him realize his attitude is wrong. From his dialogue, that she made him think twice before attempting to kill someone and how in his heart he knew he does not want Chizuru to hate him. He showed a soft side to Chizuru when she was talking to her father in his dying breath.

All and all, I think Okita is an absolute sweetheart, he just need someone to be patient with him. Not to mention I wish there was more to his story...because the ending wasn't satisfying.
