Picture Chinese series: Things we see around us! 。 💡We have learnt the following Chinese words in the borrowed word group: shā lā - salad 沙拉 sān míng zhì - sandwich 三明治 níng méng - lemon 檸檬|柠檬 chá - tea 茶 。 🌺Today we spot "coffee" - "kā fēi" 咖啡 and this is another easy one to remember 。 。 ✏️ "kā fēi" 咖啡 : let’s look at each character separately. 。 ✏"kā ” 咖 character has a “kǒu 口 mouth” radical. 。 ✏"fēi" 啡 character also has a “kǒu 口 mouth” radical. 。 "kā fēi" 咖啡 is a compound word and it only represents the sound (coffee).
