I’ve always been haunted by this particular passage from @no-gorms ‘The Love Spell’ — the unbearable tenderness of a false memory, the embrace that ‘never happened, and will never happen.’ It‘s such a poignant and beautiful agony that I had to try painting it. This is that moment of illusory peace

I've been thinking a lot about the different shades of Steve Rogers we've seen on screen. This piece explores how they would each take the initiative—Whedon's Steve vs. Russo's Steve.
For Russo's Steve, the Tony in his world gives me a feeling so deeply resonant with one of my favorite Stony fics, "Celestial Navigation"—that specific blend of vulnerability and stubborn resilience against a sprawling, cosmic-scale fate. (And yes, I took the artistic liberty of giving this Tony his beard—a small fusion of timelines that just felt right for the soul of this character as I see him now.)
While working on this piece, that connection felt stronger than ever. It's a happy coincidence that I discovered the author of "Celestial Navigation" is active here on Tumblr! If you ever see this, I just wanted to put this out into the universe: Thank you for writing such a masterpiece.
On a slightly personal note, posting this feels like a full-circle moment. Years ago, I was a passionate baby fan in this fandom, expressing my love through making graphics and edits. Now, I'm trying to channel those feelings into my own drawings. It's all just different ways of screaming into the void about these two, I guess. Grateful for this journey and for this community.
A little scene after A4 — the moment Tony stepped off the quinjet and Steve was there to meet him. I can't help but feel the Russos' touch, that even a simple reunion holds so much dramatic, ABO-like potential. I love jumping between the MCU and 616 vibes for these two. Curious if anyone else has a soft spot for one over the other.
i’m going to hold your hands when i say this and i am only going to be kind about it once: ai does not belong in fandom spaces, ever. not in writing, not in art, not in video, not at all. it does not matter how bad you want to see your favourite characters kiss, or how much you need a bit of help finishing a chapter, or whatever.
make friends with artists. commission somebody. learn to draw yourself. ask for a beta read. try a writing partnership. fandom spaces are communities, so engage with them! it is about the journey and the fact that we all love something enough to create and build together about that thing.
spending 30 seconds to kill a tree and get an AI to push out some soulless empty piece of “content” is antithetical to the entire point of being engaged with fandom, and if you’ve taken to doing this you should really reconsider if you belong in these spaces with the rest of us.
Disclaimer: none of these answers are official, and may not work for your particular use case. If there is a specific feature that an unofficial app had that you don't know how to replicate on the AO3, let me know in the notes and we might can crowdsource a solution.
A lot of people used the Archive Reader app to access stories on Archive of Our Own, and have been upset that the app is now charging to read longer than an hour a day. AO3 (and its parent organization, the OTW) has made it extremely clear in recent days that this app is unofficial and that there *is* no official app. They encourage people to use the website.
However, there are MANY reasons you might want an app, and in a bunch of those cases, there are ways to do those things without having to provide your login information to a random person running an app. Here is a round-up of solutions to the most common reasons I've seen people give for wanting an app instead of the plain AO3 website.
These solutions are based on the following assumptions:
You know what Archive of Our Own is
You often or primarily access it through a mobile device running iOS or Android
You understand what a browser is
You understand what a browser bookmark is
You understand what a site skin is
Edited to clarify that you must be logged in to use custom site skins

Pod Bid for kandisheek Auction #1013
The Prompt:
FAKE ROYAL MARRIAGE When Steve and Tony were children, prince Tony insisted on marrying Steve, because Steve was moving away and Tony wanted them to be together forever. He made Jarvis film their wedding and gave Steve his royal insignia ring for safekeeping despite Jarvis’ protests, determined that Steve should have a wedding ring. Now that Tony is of age, Howard insists on marrying him off for business reasons, and Tony panics, telling him that he's already promised to someone and he has video proof. Howard asks Jarvis to procure the video, and since Tony used his royal ring and Jarvis technically IS an officiant, the claim does hold some weight, despite how ridiculous it is. So Howard calls him on his bluff, saying that he would love to meet his son's husband. He'll arrange another wedding to get their vows renewed next week. Tony doesn't know how in the world he'll get himself out of this mess. Steve probably doesn't even remember him, much less still consider him a friend, let alone a husband. There's no chance in hell he'll agree to marry Tony on a technicality. Right?
