What MRA’s think will happen at the Women-Only Wonder Woman Screenings

We at the Alamo Drafthouse would like to officially apologize for our role in the end of mankind as we knew it, and the ascendant Gynocracy that followed. We didn’t know our women-only screening of Wonder Woman would result in the overthrow of all world governments and the total subjugation of men, but in hindsight we probably should have seen it coming.

Notes on a work day

Random customer, entering through a private entrance, “I’d like to buy some fibreglass.” Me, obviously being interrupted, “We don’t sell fibreglass, we sell –“ Douchebag, interrupting, “I need to talk to someone who knows what they are talking about.” Goes into dispatch. Dispatcher, “We don’t sell fibreglass, we sell fibremesh.” Dispatcher repeats himself three times, explaining that fibreglass is not used in concrete, fibremesh is. Douchebag leaves through the private entrance. Later, random delivery driver wanders through office. Me, “That should be delivered to the shop.” Random delivery driver, “I went, and there was no one there.” Me, “Well, I guess you can leave it here.” Driver leaves huffily. Me, calling the shop, “I have a delivery for you.” Shop foreman, “Really, I was right here in the office.” Dog save me from pompous old white men.

Where I'm from, feminists are largely perceived as "angry women that can't get a man". What can I do, individually, to debunk this statement?

I don’t know that you can debunk this statement. People who believe that kind of nonsense are not at all interested in thinking about feminism openly or critically. Save your energy for better fights.

Charge your electronics

Pour a little cleaner in the toilet bowl (if you don’t have pets or children or sleepwalking adults)

Set your alarm

Go to bed at a reasonable hour

I stretched my comfort zone today and was away while the slow cooker was doing its thing. To my relief, the house was still standing when I arrived home, and magically dinner and all of next week's lunches appeared.

I grabbed an old school notebook to make some notes tonight, and goodness, my handwriting used to be so tidy. Even pretty.

I can't seem to find my preferred knitting needles, so I went around the house and gathered up a bunch of projects. This isn't even all of them.
