Victoria's just settling down for a nice hot bath--or whatever her method of nighttime relaxation is when her phone gives an unwelcome 'bzzzzt'! The text message is from an Unknown number, but it's not hard to figure out who sent the message: 'TEMPTRESS. RELEASE MY GRANDSON FROM YOUR FOWL CLUTCHES AT ONCE.' Unknown is typing... Text: So sorry. Foul clutches. The next text message is a picture of a chicken coop filled with, you guessed it, chickens. Text: fowl clutches ^_^

She was not so pompous as those who share her status by any definition. A nice warm dinner, prepared with care, a delightful drink to dampen the nerves with some measure of alcohol. Victoria preferred a lighter drink at the end of the night, a comforting sip of white wine, a nice long drag of her cigarette.

For the first couple of buzzes of her phone she prefers to let herself check the messages at her leisure. The insistence is annoying, that anyone would have her number and text her repeatedly at this hour-- Yet upon lifting the folded device to look at the outer screen, she chooses instead to let the moment extend. It would not interrupt her moment of peace. She refuses. This was her time.

It's probably at minimum an hour after the final message that Victoria responds. It's perhaps a lot less satisfying than Shar was expecting, but, then again, Victoria's entire personality did not hinge on her relationship with Nicky. So having another woman with as equal a flippancy towards the notion of family harp on her about her dalliance was rather.... Annoying seemed so trifle a word.
