June 1: “Where am I?” | Slurred Speech | Duct Tape | Darkness
Trigger Warnings:: heavily implied kidnapping, implied drugging, Whumper just being generally insane
When Whumpee woke up they immediately recognized a handful of things.
They’re in pain, so much pain. So much pain that it’s unbearable. Their head is throbbing, along with the rest of their body. It’s so bad that they want to crawl out of their skin.
Their face is probably the only part of their body that doesn’t feel like it’s been run over by a garbage truck. In fact, their face feels oddly numb, and when they try to move their jaw, open their eyes, or use any part of their face, it feels like they’re trudging through a thick vat of heavy mud that’s weighing down their every movement.
Once Whumpee can get past the pain and numbness, they’re able to take in the pressure of something holding their wrists as well as ankles together and the strong smell of adhesive that lingers in the air and clinging to their body like a flea to a dog.
It’s pitch black, which Whumpee probably should have started off with, but the pain was far more noticeable, especially with the dampening on one of their other major senses.
Out of all listed items, Whumpee would have to say that the darkness was probably the worst part. It wasn’t that they were scared of the dark, it was more the fact that all of their other senses were now on high alert. So their pain was worse, the smell of adhesive was far worse.
Whumpee’s hearing was a lot better, too.
So, that helped Whumpee when the sound of footsteps rang down the hall. (What Whumpee assumes to be a hall, since they still have no idea where they are and it is still pitch black).
There was a pause of footsteps, but that was only for a mere few seconds. A jingle of keys rang out, a lock sound twisted and then a crack of light slipped through one end of the room (Whumpee assumed that’s where the door to this room was. That would be good information for later).
Just as quick as the light slipped into the room, it slipped right out. The door slammed shut and then there was another round of footsteps.
When the footsteps inevitably ended, Whumpee had an awful feeling. Like a dreadful sense of fear. Like some awful, evil entity was stood looming over them.
“Hello, Whumpee! It’s good to see that you’re finally up!”
A grumble sounded through the room and then a voice mumbled out, incoherent and slurred words.
“Who’re… who’re yoou?” Whumpee paused, listening to the way their own voice sounded. They smacked their lips, attempting to wet them to help their own speech flow more properly, since right now, they sound drunk.
Maybe they are drunk. After all, they felt woozy, had most likely blacked out, and were in some random place in who knows where.
“W’ere te he-hell am I..?” Whumpee began to sputter, but continued speaking none-the-less. “Waht’ss goin’ onnn!?” Whumpee barked as they spoke, increasingly becoming more frustrated as their questions went unanswered.
The other person was silent for only a few moments longer before they began snickering, which then escalated to full blown laughter, only fueling Whumpee’s rage.
Once the other person calmed down, they began to speak.
“Let’s start from the back shall we-!” As the other person spoke, they took a step towards Whumpee. They could tell from the sound of shoes hitting the floor and the way the voice became audibly closer than it was prior. “What’s going on: you’re going to stay with me for a little while.”
The other person let a gruff laugh pass their lips. “Where are we-” they leaned in closer, leaning down enough Whumpee could feel their hot breath trace over their skin, making the hairs on the back of their neck stand up. “Well, we’re in the middle of nowhere, in the woods, and we’re inside my cabin. If we’re being specific, we’re in my basement.”
There was another brief pause, but that was only momentary as Whumpee felt the cold grip of someone tight grabbing their jaw, tugging them forward and slightly off balance with their arms still tied behind their back.
The other took a couple of shallow breaths, and with the proximity left a humid feel lingering on the bound person’s face.
“And, my name? My name… is Whumper!”
