Thinking about maybe opening this up possibly next week (12/10/16)? There’s not really much to do other than get back in your sites, maybe change things around/make new characters/change played bys.

Premise

Welcome one and all to Mistletoe Manor! Located in picturesque Pine Ridge, Vermont, this all-inclusive ski lodge has been a winter destination for couples and family alike since it’s opening in 1932. While the resort is situated on 300 acres of pristine Vermont wilderness (including our own six-run ski hill) and the old-world charm of antique furniture and real-wood fireplaces in every room is a cozy winter treat, the true draw for most is the annual holiday extravaganza, where the entire lodge is decorated to the nines in celebration of the most joyous time of the year. And not only that, but this season (due to what some whisper is a decline in revenue) they’ve opened their doors to the lucky few who entered their raffle and won an all-expenses paid trip to spend the holidays! It’s only a coincidence of course that all the winners are single, or that the regulars who have checked in are as well... Or is it just possible that a little holiday magic is to blame? It’s anybody’s guess whether or not romance and holiday cheer lay just around the corner, but with a little bit of luck and maybe a wink from good ol’ Santa Claus, anything’s possible.

Okay! So! I’ll probably add a few inspo posts to this site, but if people don’t care about having character cards/bio posts for their character, there’s no reason to wait on making sites!

I’m thinking we’ll have the sites be set up as MistletoeFirstName, and then have you guys like this post/send me an ask with your names as soon as you’ve set up your sites so i can make a follow list!

Quick holiday rp update!

So I’ve decided it’s just going to be set at like a ski/holiday resort where all of our characters were either sent or won a month long vacation there. Only the catch is that all of them happen to be single (or claiming to be single if you’d like!). Hijinks to ensue when personalities clash and holiday magic helps things blossom! ;DDD So far, these are the FCS already claimed with some character notes! Lauren: Margaret “Maggie” Whittmore (Emily Kinney), excited to be at the resort, has always loved Christmas/believed in everything the holiday stands for/Santa Claus. Just wants to help spread Christmas cheer as much as possible. Chloe Douglas (Holland Rhoden), a grinch and a cynic, always bemoaning how capitalism has ruined the holidays and that we should all get over Christmas. Just wanted to go skiing and sit by the fireplace and have a nice simple vacation away from Christmas mania. Tara Barrington (Natalie Dormer), just happy she has someplace to go this holiday after a really rough year. Lost her job because of downsizing, lost her boyfriend because he suddenly decided to go to seminary school, and lost her apartment because of a fire. Basically the most unlucky person you’d ever meet. Hence why she’s ridiculously confused about how in the hell she’d won this trip at all. But ready to make the most of it. Rosalyn “Rosie” Pearson (Kerry Washington), was very excited about going on this trip… Until she spotted the almost-ex-husband she’d been pointedly ignoring for months here as well. Was pretty sure he wouldn’t come after they’d signed up for this together but then VERY PUBLICLY BROKE UP in a VERY NOT AMICABLE WAY. But now is determined to get through this without him thinking she came to try and get him back. Too bad people keep thinking they’re together since she still hasn’t changed her last name…. Not like she misses him or anything… Tina Rae: Oliver Kane (Armie Hammer), really dislikes Christmas, very upset his sister sent him to this resort, very determined to not have a good time. At. All. Shane Pearson (Chris Pratt), came to try and get over his soon-to-be-ex-wife. (papers haven’t gone through QUITE yet. Holidays y’know?) Too bad she’s here too. Was pretty sure she’d be too busy having a ~better life without him~ to come, so now he has to make it seem like he’s way too busy being popular with the ladies to care about her… even though he kind of still wants her back. Roxy Davenport (Winona Ryder), repeat guest at the resort, comes every holiday, drunk 90% of the time, like to rant about death and how everyone is dying one second at a time, filthy rich after her husband died mysteriously. Secretly bemoaning the fact that she’s no longer young and desirable as that means she’s out of a job as a performer. Brad Warren (Grant Gustin), very chipper guitarist who starts a lot of sing-alongs for the entire resort, loves Christmas very much, everyone who hates Christmas is probably slowly plotting to throw him in the fireplace.

Jenn: Hayes Sorenson (Matthew Daddario), the one who’s always been on santa’s naughty list from day one. Bojack “Bo” Devlin (Kit Harrington), a writer who is having a severe case of writer’s block. also has a constant case of the side-eye. Kenna “Ken” Rhodes (Megan Fox), an LA workaholic who, after finding out her live-in boyfriend has been cheating on her with his secretary, decided she just really needed a holiday.  Axel Blackwood (Johnny Depp), a famous actor recuperating from a minor injury, and despite all his money/fame/professional success, feels trapped in an existential crisis and doesn’t feel much emotional in his daily life. Was once in love with Roxy Davenport. Lizzy: Gregory “Greg” Walker (Jake Johnson) - the one who won the trip on accident. thought he was entering a contest for free burritos, got sent to the frigid mountains instead. hates the snow and the cold. Grumpy and complaining 11 times out of 10. Emma Pierce (Lily James) - extremely happy and optimistic and excited for the holidays/this vacation especially since the last year has been really hard b/c her dad died and her boss is an actual nightmare. Andrew “Fletch” Fletcher (Nathaniel Buzolic)  - mischief maker here to ruin your holidays. thinks he’s awesome and hilarious, but his pranks have caused two divorces, a broken leg, three fires, a flood, and the execution of a turkish ambassador.  Alexandra “Drea” Clarke (Anna Kendrick) - her life is a hot mess and she’s the polar opposite of her sister, Madeline Clarke. Finally told her enough is enough and dragged her on this trip/determined that she’s gonna have a good time.

Kate AA: Madeline “Lia” Clarke (Emily Blunt), basically was dragged to the resort kicking and screaming because how dare she even try and think and step away from her business for more than thirty seconds! Vacations and holidays and other people, not her! Cassidy “Cass” Grane (Gal Gadot), lil ray of sunshine who loves skiing and snow and everything winter and she’s just so happy to be here doing what she loves Peter Douglas (Julian Morris), Chloe Douglas’ brother and basically came bc ~brotherly duty~/keep an eye on Chloe and make sure she doesn’t burn anything down. + 1 more character

Current Ratios: Females: 10 Males: 9 (not that ratios really matter tbh, but I just wanted a count for myself. xD)

I am thinking that since this is meant to be real short, I am gonna cap us at four characters each. (maybe five if we all get really good plot ideas….) But I’m really about this time letting you choose a lot of things like FCS and plots since the time frame is crunched. All of us getting a chance to play around with things we maybe wanted to use somewhere else but couldn’t, etc. So let me know things you guys think and I’ll add it to the list then get started!
