I've been so out of it and floating in thick brain fog today that I was even able to line and shade something, an event unheard of for centuries now. I should have added blood on Kevin. I'm not going back on it though, I spent way too long on this already.

I mean it's still a redraw cause I still have absolutely no creativity juice going, but it's still something. I remember the exact moment I drew the original version below, sitting on a friend's couch after coming back from work, 100% procrastinating my thesis and reports. I listened to Night Vale every morning on my way to work for the three months I stayed at my friend's place, lingering around when the episode was a few minutes too long, and to hell with being late and stuff.

November 2020, but lord does it feel like forever ago. But also not four years. Time is weird like that.

I guess I could see some people liking the older version better, since the style was quite different. But I still think my strokes got more confident and bolder, and that there's more movement too now. Also I changed the color palette.

((I do still cosplay once in a blue moon, most frequently as Loki. And one time as Noel from Ride the Cyclone. But honestly this blog and cosplay all started because I had aged out of my local young adult theater group and needed something to channel my need to act into something. I since then have gotten back into performing and have been back at it over the last 8 years, and FINALLY got to do some decent roles. And that has been your pointless life update from the last 10 years))

woke up this morning to a notif about ur post about showing ur husband ur wtnv cosplays so i decided to do the same thing to mine and he said "that's cute, is that from........ before we met?" with such trepidation like i'm hanging out in a secret purple room in our house drawing eyeballs on my face (again) while he's not looking smfh i should have married nerdy like the wise among us instead i married a dj which is the exact kind of straight man you're not supposed to marry and now he thinks i'm back to doing cecil palmer closet cosplay at 3am while he sleeps soundly beside none the wiser what if he starts making me freshy kanal remixes or something i hate men
