it’s SO funny to me that it feels like zac has just not let go of some parts of pappy. zaeth is like an entirely different character and he still says stuff like “come on now.” it also seems like it’s become a permanent part of ally’s bits as well with “im a different guy.” it’s killing me so bad like the ghost of daisuke bucklesby has now inhabited a permanent part of zac’s brain

i keep seeing posts saying that ally is playing the "put together" character of the season. and while hj knows some things, he is not the one pushing the group forward in their plans.

hj's successes include mewing at a college party, making a c tier flier on canva, declaring a screaming man dead to then jump on top of a roof, and buying two scooters on next day-delivery.

lavonte has closed a business deal, found town locals that can explain town history, dug up city council records (with darkness man's help), hired an assistant, and is actively planning to interviene in the purpee political landscape.

lavonte might be running on power and blood cocaine but he is RUNNING

I will never be over the Voxes of New York.

I will never be over the 50 year old black man who is the heart and soul of New Yorks Communities. Where his name is on every smiling New Yorker’s lips. How they believe in him so deeply that it gives him power.

How he is a nurse who more people go to and trust both normal and magical.

I will never be over the fact he believes so many people rely on him so much that he can’t even hold on to a dream. That it is selfish of him to do so.

I will never get over that his counter part is a drug dealing young trans man who has never had community all he has had is dreams and escapism. A unwaivering need to shape himself in ways that make him feel like himself. How he is so untrusting and selfish. You get it because it is survival. He is alone in New York hiding from his family who want him to be everything he isn’t.

How 90% of this young man is escaping into dreams to not deal with reality.

I will never get over the metaphor of how the Voice of People found the Voice of Dreams a potential threat. But the Voice of Dreams desperately wanted the Voice of the People to accept him as is.

How it reflected in their characters of someone who wanted community but was so scared of the rejection he self destructs. Of someone who thought dreams were a threat to the reality of the community.

Then once they really saw each other- they ended up being an inseparably powerful pair. One got the community and acceptance he desperately craved- he got sober and was happy. Was able to be in healthy relationships and find more people to encircle in his life. The other got to dream again, and have someone look out for him and make those dreams come true.

I know Brennen Lee Mulligan built the world for the story to be told-

But fuck Luo Wilson and Ally Beardsley told it flawlessly

A rebellious punk rock teenager with horns and a skateboard and a sick bass! She’s in charge of hell and has a phoenix girlfriend! And she’s got 3 whole dads!

A kick ass lady in leopard print who punches creepy guys in the streets, all while accompanied by a magical cat! (Her husband’s an angel who’s also good at punching and loves her a bunch btw)

A haunted middle aged woman. who owns a toy shop and pilots airships! She did a lot of adventuring but an evil robot bird murdered her crew and now she’s out to kill it! FOR REVENGE!

Little Red Riding Hood but she’s a werewolf! She rips bad guys apart with her teeth and claws when she’s mad! Oh and likes to play Gin Rummy with gramma

A pretty robot space outlaw with roller skates and she blows up stuff with her grenade arm cannon! She’s best friends with another robot who lives in trash!

And a superhero who was bit by a ghost bat and now she’s like a human bat who uses echolocation and flies just like a bat and she’s armed with a sick parasol and also TWO KATANAS!
