I wanted to share a piece from a new series that has been in the works for about a year. The layers of birch have been promoted with color while the main surface is gloss white. The depth is highlighted by the glow of the painted edge bouncing off the gloss. The shadows and highlights change as you walk around the piece as the lines become the focus. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and look forward to sharing more work in this direction.
Just wrapped up my first piece for 2014. She is headed to New Jersey in the morning. #backsofpaintings
