"K-Kiyotaka..?" The prosecutor hesistantly called out for the younger one behind his room's door, "Are you there?"
Kiyotaka was sitting on his bed, reading a book before hearing a voice coming from the other side of the door, calling out for him. He closed the book and stood still,he must have been imagining things, hesitately,he walked to the door and opened it slowly, only to find a surprise.
His eyes shot wide open and he felt a sudden pain on his chest. He didn’t say anything, he only let out a small trebling sigh, before taking a deep breath and held it in,gritting his teeth and holding back his tears.
"W-Why did you leave?"
[ mitsurugi-san ]
Without saying anything he placed his hands behind his back, still forcing himself to hold back his tears or scream, his throat was sore and it hurt, like someone had beaten him up with a metal bat and stomped on him.
This wasn’t an answer that Kiyotaka would expect, nor that he would accept. He tried to look angry at the prosecutor which only made him feel more sad than before. He the spoke, trying to keep his voice steady.
"That isn’t a good answer, you must have had a reason, you must have had a reason for leaving, leaving me behind—"
Edgeworth didn't need to look at Ishimaru to know he's angry. Angry and sad. But he was in no position to try and calm his son down. Perhaps it is way better for him to express his emotions as they are, rather than trying to soothe it over.
In response to Kiyotakas words, the prosecutor shook his head to sides. His face was still directed downwards.
"I sincerely wish I had one. But I do not. I have no excuse." He muttered. As this went on, Miles got more and more scared to talk. He just wanted for all of this to end and come back to the old days. But that'd be too good.
