Here’s a tournament for characters whose secondary ability seems to be how quickly they adopt children. To qualify for this tournament, a character must have at least two kids who are not blood related. For the purposes of this poll, adoption does not have to be legal, it can be emotional, or even just a headcanon. We are all fans of found family here.

The Drift Compatible Poll!!!!!

A tournament for duos and trios that are so in sync, they could pilot a Jaeger together! Not familiar with Pacific Rim or the concept of drifting/being drift compatible? Here's some handy dandy excerpts straight from the Pacific Rim Wiki:

"The process of Drifting is a type of Mind Meld that requires the pilots to share their memories, instinct and emotions with each other. Drifting allows them to act as one consciousness and control the very movement of the Jaeger itself, with one pilot controlling the "right hemisphere" and the other the "left hemisphere"." "Whether two pilots are "Drift Compatible" with one another depends largely on their personal connection and their ability to work in sync with each other." "Trust is also an implicit part in creating a strong bond between potential partners and familiarity with a partner makes fostering trust easier, as it is usually more difficult between strangers."

So basically, a duo or trio that is drift compatible must: 1) Have a strong personal connection 2) Be very in sync with each other 3) Trust each other

ahem. so. inuyasha is a half dog demon, he lives in fuedal era japan. in the first episode (or first chapter of manga) it shows inuyasha stealing the sacred shikon jewel from kikyo (his lover at the time) and she, a priestess, seals him to a tree for 50 years(with the last of her strength because she's injured and dies) the shikon jewel dies with her, and kagome is her reincarnation. one day kagome falls through her family's well and is transported back in time to inuyasha's time. she literally. trancends time to be with him.

Kagome is the reincarnation of his ex's soul, Kikyo (Inuyasha and Kikyo got tricked into believing the other had betrayed them and fought until she sealed him away in a tree and she died of the injuries she thought were made by him), who travels from the present to the Japan of 500 years ago and they meet again. Their bond is what allows them to move across time, as they're the only ones that can do so. They travel together with a mutual goal, slowly bonding and falling in love, and fighting demons, including the guy that tricked the original pair

Okay this one's a little iffy TECHNICALLY because Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo, Inuyasha's former lover, but they're not technically Soulmates for that reason. Kikyo and Inuyasha were turned on each other in the end, and Kagome is constantly asserting that she and Kikyo are NOT the same. However, Kagome fell through a magic well to Inuyasha's time and freed him from the seal that Kikyo put on him, trapping him for a century. At the end of the story the gate in the magic well is destroyed and Kagome is trapped apart from Inuyasha for years but eventually is able to return, and it's implied the connection between them was strong enough to make the bridge in time whole again. So due to those points I think it can count as them returning to each other across time.

so. its been a while since i watched inuyasha but these guys are definitely soulmates!! everythings pretty murky but i remember inuyasha and his old lover were turned against eachother by the main villain, and both believed the other tried to kill them, and his lover dies. but then she doesnt???? she's just like. a ghost i think. and she's still trying to kill inuyasha to take revenge. but then it turns out kagome is the reincarnation of this woman, but obviously they dont know that at first, and kagome and inuyasha are tied together by a red string of fate. i love these guys<3
