I told my little sister Doodle (@doodlepoot0302) that I’d draw her an avatar and banner art for her Twitch channel, and then proceeded to not draw a single thing all year thanks to chronic migraines. Well, she just got affiliated on Twitch this week, so I figured it would be the perfect time to charge up my Apple pencil, take a big ol handful of ibuprofen, and get to work! Little doodle of my girls. I miss drawing them, but haven’t had the motivation to do much about it. Decided to do them in profile because I literally never draw faces from that angle and I need the practice. I need to learn to draw muscles, too - Jules looks way more buff in my head.
Teenaged version of my baby girl, Clementine! In present day, she is a level 9 Tiefling rogue. Here bb Clem is learning to throw sneaky daggers, courtesy of her Dwarf rogue mama, Ylva. Later, she will gain proficiency in persuasion and charisma, courtesy of the teachings of her Human bard mama, Melora.
She grew up on the road, her mamas being traveling entertainers/musicians/puppeteers (which was initially a front for the Thieves’ Guild, but ended up being something they realized they enjoyed and began doing full-time come their retirement).
Ylva and Melora initially had an open, casual relationship. Clementine was the product of a one-night stand between Melora and an evil deity posing as a common Tiefling, impressed with Melora’s musical performance onstage. Melora and Ylva were delighted when Melora became pregnant, and they decided to get married and raise Clem together. Clementine doesn’t care about knowing or meeting her father (although our DM has turned him into a Big Bad for our current story arc) and absolutely adores her mothers.
She mastered the spell “disguise person” early on to hide her features, enabling her to attract less attention when pickpocketing from wealthier crowds of their shows; her purple skin, horns, tail, and glowing yellow eyes easily made her stand out, and sometimes frightened patrons.
Young Clem would often leave scraps of food for birds, who she loved because they never cared about her appearance, only her offerings. It became a bit of a problem once magpies and crows began following the caravan and leavings shiny bits of scrap metal in her window as thanks for the food (though the “problem” became a gift once her parents realized the scrap could be fashioned into makeshift thieves’ tools). One of the offspring of the birds she fed - a raven Clementine named “Qole” (pronounced “cole”) - became unwilling to part with her, and eventually became her full-time companion once she left to adventure on her own, bringing useful traits to the party such as scouting, mimicry, and pooping on enemies to distract them.
