My New Yandere Visual Novel

I am more than happy to announce yet another visual novel! This time, the focus is entirely on a *yandere* character.

Skylar is your ex-boyfriend—someone you believed had died in an incident involving your friends.

Gnawed at for years by guilt over having done nothing, you truly believed the story that Skylar had been killed that night.

Then, after another sleepless night, you wake up to find a small, stinky surprise resting on top of you.

I spent a few weeks developing this project entirely on my own! The production process gave me more headaches than necessary. Since I did everything by myself, I had hardly any time—and even less patience—to go back and review the translations. I do end up making mistakes; it’s only human.

I've already updated some of the sprites—even though I still haven't added them to the game's scripts yet (I'm feeling too lazy for that 😭)

I'm honestly really happy with how much they've improved. I love Skylar's loose hair and how much it makes him stand out 🕊️

I honestly realized how much I’ve grown as an artist, and I’m getting extremely frustrated with some of the drawings from Echoes Of You aaa

Of course, not all of them! There are some that I really like, such as the NSFW scene, Skylar’s first appearance (although I’m still going to make some adjustments), the scene where he’s lying on the protagonist’s lap, the game icon, and others...

So, even though I had already started working on Echoes Of You’s second day, I’m going to use the free time I have away from my computer to fix some of these artworks on my phone.

Here are some scenes that will receive modifications:

- The Kiss scene

- The protagonist’s first death scene

- Skylar’s dream version

- The dinner scene

- And the others that will only receive small lighting adjustments and nothing more

It feels so good to improve as an artist and programmer!

Also, I have some great news! I’m going back to working on SILENT EVIDENCE as well!

Since my role in this first game is only programming, it will be much easier for me to handle!

I've also already put together a rough list of events for Day 2, so I'll finally be getting to work on it soon!

I also stopped checking how Echoes Of You is doing on itch.io. It was making me really anxious, and I even started thinking about giving up because I was scared it wouldn't work out. So I'd rather spend my time writing and drawing than constantly worrying about whether I'm getting recognized or not hahahahjejw

Finallyyyyy!! I might not have given it my absolute best, but I think this main menu fits way better than the old one lol.

Well, it finally feels right to me now. I changed the music, added some sound effects, and fixed some mistakes in the Portuguese version of the game. I’m not sure how this might have affected the other translations, so I spent a good part of my afternoon checking everything, but something could have slipped past me.

I’d be soooo happy if you guys could help me check it out too haha.

Working alone really isn’t easy, honestly lol.

But what matters is that I’m happy with it now!! :)

Geez! I've been working on this for almost 7 hours SOS

I literally redrew Skylar's face hundreds of times, but nothing felt actually right Imao. Then I finally managed to make him look like the sketch and like Skylar himself hahhaha

Maybe I made him a little tooooo intimidating, but I was honestly so tired of redoing this little bastard's face over and over 🆘

But what matters is that I'm happy with how it turned out. My SEVEN HOURS of work were totally worth it 🕊️

I'm still undecided whether to keep Ren'py's default buttons or create something unique (I think I'm leaning towards the first option 😹)

I want to start delving deeper into Skylar's story and how his obsession with the protagonist actually works—and I also want to gradually explain what he really is.

I know I need to improve a few things on the first day — I also intend to change some things about the main menu, something isn't pleasing me.

Development of the *Silent Evidence* sequel is temporarily on hold while we resolve some internal team issues. I don't have a definitive answer regarding the project's future yet, so I prefer not to make any promises until I'm certain. I am truly sorry to have to share this news, but it was necessary. I will provide further updates on our production soon...

Despite everything, I haven't given up on programming entirely during this time. I'm working alone on a small new project—*Echoes of You*—while waiting for a definitive answer on whether or not we'll move forward with Silent Evidence.
