COMPLETE: Last Night at the Telegraph Club - ☆☆☆☆☆ This book still remains in my memory since I read it and I think about it every once in a while. to point out something that stuck with me-- the way Malinda Lo used a timeline to show the period in which each chapter was take place was really fun, and I think it helped make the story unique from other things I'd read at the time. I like the setting of 1950s America and it kind of showed me a photo of the way people had been propagandised to fear communism at that time. You also see it a lot in recent years too. Communism never stopped being treated as some Big Bad. It was one of my first exposures to the fact that as long as some ideology or group is treated as a boogieman, and little proof is required to accuse someone of participating, it will be used to demonise other marginalised groups. Handsome Girl and Sheltered Girl - ☆☆☆⟡ On a reread, I lowered the rating a little. It's great, don't get me wrong, but I think I would have preferred if the misunderstanding of Kanda's gender was cleared up a little earlier. It's definitely a matter of my tastes changing. I think it still works well as a story, and it's still beautiful. I just kind of got frustrated, even if it's only seven chapters of the misunderstanding. My New Friend Wasn't What I Expected - ☆☆☆☆☆ yuzu gives lyanna gender envy Little Witch Academia - ☆☆☆☆ Diakko is the only canon I will believe in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power - ☆☆☆☆☆ I Can't Say No to the Lonely Girl - ☆☆☆☆☆ Beautiful cozy and wholesome I love them so much Kimi no Love wo Misetekure // Show Me Your Love - ☆☆☆☆☆ surprisingly short, very sweet, I love me some polycule rep. That Time I Was Blackmailed By the Class's Green Tea Bitch - ☆☆☆☆☆ fluffiest (semi-)smut sequences you've ever read. very conscious of gayness. I love this. Somewhat off-putting title/concept to an outsider... but it was nice and sweet :) Mage & Demon Queen - ☆☆☆☆ I loved this. It's whimsical, definitely suffers from the pains of being a webtoon original, and *feels* like a 2018 comic, but all in all, definitely good. Binge-read it over two nights. The first four/five but it's still a great read. My Senpai is an Otokonoko - ☆☆☆☆⟡ Hm. Okay, well, I enjoyed reading it, and I definitely related to Makoto, which is why I was a little sad at the end when Makoto didn't end up being "definitely trans" but rather just saying she "doesn't want to be restrained by gender". Of course, it's still sweet and definitely well-written, I just kind of felt pushed out by the ending. Give it a read, form your own opinion, I'm definitely biased. There are also epilogue chapters, which I have not read. Footage from an Afterlife - ☆☆☆☆☆ I cried. So hard. It's not even doomed. Squiddo did such a stunning job with this. Between the use of omori sound effects and music, and the artstyle, I knew that it was going to be gutwrenching. And it was. Go watch it on youtube. It's forty-one minutes long. Don't underestimate the stories people have been able to tell using minecraft as a medium recently, because if you do, you're missing out on some of the most beautiful media to come out of the internet in the past year. Bloom Into You - ☆☆☆☆☆ How many times am I going to rate things five stars? Bloom into you is probably of the more popular ones I've read, and it's deserved. It's sugary, and each character has flesh and bone and they all feel so well-done. I loved this from start to end. Absolutely recommended. Ranked Competitive Breast Growth - ☆☆☆☆☆ I am infatuated with how characters are written here. I loved and hated every second I read this. Over several sleepless nights and a few long bus rides I've experienced what I think might be the most toxic sludge yuri I've ever read. Thank you Beth Leigh-ann typewriter monkey and Talia Bhatt. Absolutely recommended. I will be reading estro junkies. And call me kimberly when that comes out.
