(( intro. mary joyce, usually just mary, fisher. mother to jacob and gloria and the rest of their siblings. devout christian. housewife/homemaker. used to be a homeschool mom ))
i always miss my girls that live far away. but it's for the best for them i know. and in the end, we'll be together again eventually anyways. it is simply a matter of patience on this earth
gloria says it's very important to keep your online presence constant so i suppose i'm supposed to post things. so here is young jacky
and some teenage gloria for good measure
sometimes i wonder how my children all ended up so different from each other. of my 5 girls, none of them are the same. we have a social worker, a postal worker, a doctor, a cosmetician. and then the last is a cashier. they really couldn't be less alike.
you always were such a precious girl @jacobmfisher-md
i’m sure you’re very proud of your son
any mother would be proud. she is a very capable person and the most intelligent of my daughters, and i am sure she will do great things some day.
he’s an incredible doctor. i don’t admit this often, but he’s one of the best men i know
that's very sweet of you to say. it does a mother good to hear that kind of thing said about her child. do you work together with her often?
i’ve been out of commission for around a month, but i did work with him sometimes. i’m a paediatric nurse, and he’s the closest radiologist to the paediatric department. he isn’t too fond of some of the kids but to each his own
oh she's never been good with children. that isn't anything new. ever since she was young i've know that she would never be the type to be called to motherhood. but God has given her her own gifts of course
not everyone’s made to be a father. and at the very least he tries not to be too obvious about his distaste in front of the kids. sometimes at least.
young man i appreciate your attempts to be polite to her. but your tone to me is coming off with a distinct passive aggressive manner, and i find it entirely rude
I don’t blame him.
Your unyieldingness to criticize your son for doing what makes him happy, while also having the audacity to say that you love him pisses me off too.
she's my daughter, i can't help but love her. should my loving her stop me from wanting the best for her?
Your ‘motherly’ love stopped being unconditional from the start of his journey. I can only hope it hasn’t been that way for his entire life.
You don’t want whats best for your son—you want whats best for you—and that’s not okay.
He’s his own person, he’s who he wants to be and he shouldn’t have to cater to anyone elses opinions, that includes yours.
my love for her never changed. her family's love for him never changed. she's the one who chose to leave. it's simply absurd to pin her personal choices on her family. it is not our fault, our hands are and always have been totally clean.

Why do you still call yourself a mother of six when one of your sons is borderline estranged and the other is dead. Mother of four at best because you're so fucking pathetic that you can't love your children enough they stay living or around you.
i raised 6 children through their childhood. i provided for them all for 18 years except the one. if they aren't with me anymore, it's not through my own fault. Jacky's choices were not my fault, my son's death was not my fault. none of these things did i bring upon my own self.
Lol accept that you killed your son and drove the other to move across the fucking country to get away from you 😁 accept it you evil whore
i've never met you. but if our limited interaction is any indication, then i'm very sorry that my girl doesn't have any better friends than the type like you. you seem so angry for no reason, for something you don't know anything about, for something you simply weren't there for. you seem so full of bitterness towards somebody who has never wronged you.
You wronged me indirectly when you tagged all your Facebook posts with Jacob in them wrong so it's impossible to find embarrassing shit to dig up about him
Also I've spoken to you before unrelated to Jacob but ok go off.
Your son does have better friends than me, I'm just a hater :) I think if everyone you meet connected to Jacob is a bitter person in your eyes you might be the problem . Perhaps.
you act like you have some claim to her. but you simply don't. i'm family, i raised her, i'm more important than anyone like you will ever be to her.
even unrelated to Jacky. i think that you're simply an unpleasant person with issues that you refuse to get help for, so you make them other peoples' problem. which is a shame, because really you seemed like a very nice girl at first. but clearly you're just like the rest of her friends.
i simply don't know why she can't find any better acquaintances.
My issues don't need help actually :) I'm a perfectly functional person, your being bothered by my 'problems' is your own fault and nobody else's. I am very unpleasant though! Gold star and a communion wafer for you for that one
Also apologies for coming off like I have a claim to him, I was more implying I'd like an easier way than going through every photo ever posted on your Facebook to find information about him because he didn't have any (trackable to me, at least) social media before he started college
of course not. what kind of mother do you think i was? i knew that she already had a lot of social issues, and struggled with a lot of things about herself and her own body, i knew that giving her social media and the internet would only expose her to harmful manners for dealing with those issues.

Does he bleach his hair ?? Why is it so dark here what
Also hii Marianne I didn't know you were on here :) I hope you get buried in a fabric coffin so your flesh fuses with your surrounds until it renders you irreconcilably changed :)
--[[ she used to dye it darker when she was a teenager. blonde is her natural color.
well. as far as burial arrangements go. i suppose it doesn't really matter. i'll be dead by then anyways won't i? why should i have any care about it. ]]--

i can be actively aggressive if you prefer
why are you threatening me now? you seemed like a very nice man but now it seems like you are only courteous to those who agree with you on certain unsavory issues
oh no i meant only verbally i can’t walk never mind fight
why are you and his friends always so insistent on going along when he asks you to join his lie? it isn't good. it isn't edifying.
alright no worries i can be edifying
imagine you wake up one day, and you’re still you inside, but everyone thinks you’re a man. you keep trying to get them to call you mary, but everyone insists that your name is marcus. you’re still the same person as you are now, but everyone sees you differently.
thats what your son went through for his entire life, so god forbid i just get rid of the s in a pronoun
you know that that simply isn't how gender works. it's not a feeling you have, it's a fact about your body that you were born with. especially for women like Jacky, struggling with accepting your gender is a battle that many women must face. but she has simply given up in favor of a substitute that may never fulfill her.
--[[ mom can we just drop this. please. this conversation never works for either of us. it just makes us sad. it just makes both of us feel like shit. so can we just not talk about it? please. for everyone's sake. can we just ignore it for once?? ]]--
it's important to talk about this type of thing baby. it needs to be sorted out one way or the other, for good. we can't ignore it when it gets so big. i just want you to see sense. i just miss my girl, you know that
@jacobmfisher-md @gloriaaf look at him isn't he so handsome girls
yes mama he's very cute. i can't believe that you got him to sit still for a photo like this honestly
you really should come visit more often dear
yes mama i know. i miss all of you guys of course. but i've been busy with work. and you know it's a long trip to make on short notice
yes, yes, i know. you're very busy and very hardworking. but sometime eh. you can't avoid your family forever

quick question
do you think you would be happier if you were born a man
when i was younger i hated being a woman because of some very unfortunate happenings during my childhood. but as i've matured, i find that i've grown out of that distress. i am thoroughly content in the life God has given me as the woman i was meant to be. and i just want that same happiness to go to my daughter as well.
i’d continue arguing but I have bigger problems at the moment
ah, young people. go deal with your own problems. i'm just an old lady, nothing that i have to say is anything that can't wait.
and whatever may be. i'm glad that Jacky at least has friends who care about her, even if they might be misguided sometimes.
