Please take the time to read this article. I do not agree with the expulsion. She accidentally brought a pocket knife to school. Where I'm from all of the area schools are kind of in the country or very small towns. So in this case I don't think the punishment should be as harsh as they made it because most kids around here have to do chores and when you live in rural areas you're gonna have things like pocket knives and not even realize you have them with you at school. Whereas in the big cities, those kids shouldn't even have a reason to have a knife. She's an honor student and their just going to ruin her future by expelling her because of a tiny little accident. I understand that they need to punish her in some way because it's part of the policy, but they could have just gave her in school suspension or something. This whole ordeal could affect her chances of getting into different colleges. It could have been anybody, accidents happen. It's not like she was going to use the knife in any way.
