A little song and animation I made thinking about Beat'em-ups
A little animation and song I slapped together for CTear's birthday. Happy birtheringday! 🪓🪓🪓
I swear to god I started this days before the S08E08.
But I do love being correct about them calling each other. And Buck dumping pastries on Eddie.
Shout out to @fraddit, who has compiled an amazing reference set for Eddie's house, which I didn't end up using as much as I thought, except for the outside.
@zim-tits continuing to create great art for the Derrywell-verse.
Nursey and Dex are having a bit of downtime and... well... chilling in the hammock. Okay one is chilling more than the other.
Fun fact: I've been an avid role player since 1997. I love hallucinating goofy stories with my friends and constructing elaborate plots, settings and characters. We play in my hubby's home-made system that caters to our interaction centered needs. It's got roots in a mix of the old Swedish take on D&D (Drakar och Demoner) and World of Darkness. We mix jokes, melodrama and exploration of themes and worlds. The point is to have your character experience things, and to experience the setting through your character, having it change in response to whatever happens, and to create change to the surroundings based on their (and the player's) whims and preferences. So whenever I encounter D&D mainstream stuff, I always see people trying to "win" at the game, which is extremely funny to me. The joy of playing with friends is in itself the intrinsic reward, while extrinsic rewards like XP are there to unlock more options for customization. But I acknowledge the table-top game- and HeroQuest-like aspects. A dungeon romp can be fun as a test of character builds you've concocted.
But lately I've seen a trend of net-builds and pre-made character loadouts to maximize the chance of beating whatever the DM throws at you. I've personally never been a fan of games where you have to fight against the DM, I think it's extremely tricky to make fair and balanced challenges that are enjoyable for both parties, and I'd honestly rather play a PC game for that. What I find most wild and funny about people trying to implement these tips to try to break the game though, is that the DM can just say "no, that's not happening." People aren't robots and can see through your attempts. Also, a DM can simply up the difficulty and throw more Kobolds at you to dissuade you from trying to go Goku, right? I might be missing something though, and I'm open to this being a cultural thing – I am Swedish after all. Or maybe this is my "Old man yells at clouds"-moment.
I finally got the opportunity to make some art to celebrate reaching 300 subscribers here on Tapas!
This is a potential scene from Chip's second year at the Academy. We're not even sure if we'll even get that far, since my husband's original novel takes place during the first year, but it's fun to play with the idea.
Chip don't really 'get' why we Europeans and white Americans are so hung up on Ancient Greece and Rome, but after being shown a lot of greco-roman fantasy movies with tons of beefcake, he can find some appeal in it at least.
We're so grateful to each and every one of our subscribers, and to all the rest of you who check out the comic!
Furthermore, we'd like to wish you all a God Jul - that's Good Yule in Swedish!
The comic will continue on as normal over the week, but I doubt I'll be able to cram out a separate New Years piece, so... Happy New Year as well!
And huge thanks for reading, liking, commenting and subscribing! Check out my Tumblr site for a slowly growing collection of extras: gaybombcomic.tumblr.com/
You can also look up my personal tumblr at mkberiksen.tumblr.com/ for some of my other projects and fanart. I'm also on Bluesky now!

300 subscribers on Tapas. Feels awesome! I'm slowly updating the comic page here on Tumblr too, but I keep forgetting!
Anyway, check it out at https://gaybombcomic.tumblr.com
I've longed for the day when I finally got to draw Chip objectifying Patrick. And not only because Patrick is supposed to be really hot! Check out my webcomic at https://tapas.io/series/Gay-Bomb or slightly delayed here at https://gaybombcomic.tumblr.com/
It's based on @toon-pirate's novel, and like everything he does, it's soo funny and surprisingly deep.
It feels like yesterday I turned to my left during a gaming session and said "Hey, you wanna get married?" Here's to another 10o years!
Check out my webcomic adaptation of my husband @toon-pirate 's novel ! Content warning for some kinda naughty images of guys in sexy outfits, as well as some bullying and mental health issues, but its in general a funny and hopeful story!
AI can't draw horses. All that money and technology you wasted to recreate my personal shortcomings. I could have failed to draw a horse for you, if you'd only asked.
Redraw of one of my oldest surviving characters Flintlock!
(I like to do this every 3 years so here's the previous years for comparison) It can suck to feel like you're not improving or stagnating so I absolutely encourage folx to try this after a decent chunk of time has gone by!
the american life
I finished my first summer-art-class with a three-day piece about Swedish folklore. For someone with face-blindness and dyspraxia, I’m pretty pleased with how it came out! I did have to look at a lot of bodybuilders to see how all those veins and muscles actually go, though! Not that I’m complaining! The characters are from my young adult urban fantasy novel that I’m slowly working on adapting into a webcomic, for when I’m done with my @gaybombcomic
this show was filmed in front of a live studio audience
Only a couple of months left until I get to see sunlight!
The joy of living in the North
Now and then I find myself with time and energy enough to draw something not Gay Bomb related. This time I found a photo of some beefcake model that looks almost exactly to how I imagine one of my RP characters, which I use as a reference for this pic. I’m trying to refine and simplify my way of shading, since I’m suffering from brain fog and rarely have more energy to draw more than 15 minutes at a time.
