It can be payback for her not telling me things– she’ll have to detangle. But, actually, she won’t have to because I’ll do a really good job.” Almost automatically his head rested down on top of hers. “Damn right I am. I want to be a toad though, I think. They seem tougher. That’s bull; it does not! People have that stuff around kids– they’d put some kind of warning on it if it was. Jaemi and Hasik wouldn’t have skin if it was. They always used to spray it at each other in the trainee dorms when they thought the other smelled bad.” He rolled his eyes, kissing the top of her head. “Fake sick then. You haven’t done that in a while, so it won’t be that suspicious. Then we can go home and shower and nap and look at more apartments on the internet or something. How incompetent do you think I am? Honestly, it’s like you have no faith in me at all…” He grumbled. He resisted her pushing, wrapping himself tighter around her and pressing his lips gently against her jaw and neck (both of them were pretty lucky they were the only ones in this corridor, honestly…). “Shut up. “What are you gonna do? Nuggy me to death? I’ll fight you right here, I don’t care. I could fight you and then have time to go get my nails done, that’s how fast I’ll beat you up,” she shot back, trying to keep from laughing. “She wouldn’t kill you because then I wouldn’t be her sister, and she’s made it very clear that I’m her favorite sibling. Well, to be fair, my love.... We did get married and then not tell her for almost a month. You can’t be too mad that she doesn’t spill her guts to you on a nightly phone call. You’re right, because you’re not touching my hair anymore.” Her fingers played with his, her body glad to finally have a little while to rest. “Frogs are cuter, though. They seem tougher, but the story was about a frog turning into a human, not a toad. Plus, they make weird noises. Like, weirder than frog noises. Maybe it works differently for people with sensitive skin! Jaemi and Hasik are strange, too. Maybe it just worked wrong for them.” She sighed. “I don’t think I can. I’m the leader. I can’t just call in sick. Maybe I’ll get lucky and they’ll cancel. We really need to find a place. Most of the girls seem like they’re getting to the point where they want to move out and live on their own, or with one or two other people. I can’t say I blame them; we’re all in our late twenties and we’ve lived together for, like, seven years. I don’t think you’re incompetent! You just have no capability of keeping your love to yourself. You talk about how much you love me so often that I don’t think you could filter it out. You’re just lucky they don’t ask you about your love life they way the ask us.” It was hard for her to remember that they were still in the company building where anyone could walk past and see them. I watched  a hair tutorial on youtube and I’m 62% sure I know what I’m doing this time,” he told her seriously, his other hand reaching over to tuck her hair behind her ear with a smirk. “You do not. If you look gross then I look like a frog or a worm or something. Hmm….well I know where the janitorial staff keeps the febreeze. I could give you that and you could douse yourself all you want,” he teased, wrapping his arms tight around her waist. “Don’t then. I’ll go. I’ll put on a wig and pretend to be you and you can nap in peace somewhere. I’m great at photoshoots. And I know you better than anybody, so I can make up what you’d say at an interview pretty easily. Sleep and then go to the studio.” He shrugged, leaning his head back on the chair. “You’re always the pretty one.” He breathing in sharply, tightening his grip on her and tickling her sides to get back at her. “Then don’t say them. You’re in the wrong here.”

“Yeah, kick your ass. You wanna go right now? Huh, punk?” she laughed back. “No way, man. You could have taken cosmetology classes and I still wouldn’t let you anywhere near my hair. Yejin almost had to cut it last time and she almost killed both of us for it.” Sora sighed, resting her head on his shoulder. “You’re a very cute frog, though. The most handsome of all the amphibians. I know where the storage closets are, too. You’ve made me quite familiar with them. I think Febreeze burns your skin off if you spray it right on yourself.” She shook her head, stopping afterward to move the hair that had fallen in her face. “No, I wanna stay with you. If you go and pretend to be me, you’ll still be not here.” That wasn’t the most eloquent way to put it, but she was exhausted. Hopefully he’d know what she meant. “You’d embarrass me and probably out us as a married couple by accident, Frog King. Can’t; I have too much practicing to do. I’m not, though. I’m only the pretty one with Haven.” She wiggled around, pushing his hands away from her body in a weak attempt to get him to stop tickling her. “Me? Wrong? I’m never wrong, you know that. hey everyone, i know it’s been like a month and a half since i was around, but i’ve finally moved and gotten settled in to my new place

carrie and hayley and i have been talking and we’re basically making some formatting changes to the rp including: eliminating activity limit (since most of us have college/jobs/adult stuff we have to take care of), some future event/task changes, and some general clean up

we’ve always felt that we work best as an easy paced, laid back kind of rp that doesn’t force its members to be around every day or every other day (since a lot of us are getting to the point in life where that’s kinda unrealistic) and you can have basically as many characters as you want since i know beyond the shadow of a doubt that the majority of us aren’t just gonna up and ditch even if we’re only around once a week or so

tl;dr of this long post, we’re still around, we’re making changes and i hope everyone is still here and happy to stick around through this dry spell!

i’m consistently the worst. i’m in the process of a very sudden move which means we have to get all of our shit together and be out of our house in like a month and a half, so people have been in and out all the time and it’s hard to find the time/energy to get replies done. i’m gonna start trying to do 3 or 4 replies a day (starting with sara/minah/lina since they’re all on the same account), so hopefully that’ll make things easier but it might not be all the way back to normal until july-ish? i’m really sorry about it, guys, but there’s nothing i can do to change it so i’m just gonna try to do what i can with what i’ve got

He curled up against her, resting his head on her shoulder with a worried frown. He was sitting a little awkwardly in an attempt to keep his weight off of her and not squish her, but also because he was still afraid he did something wrong. “You should have a nap,” he said quietly. “Naps always help me when I’m sleepy.”

Sora leaned in and kissed his forehead, wrapping one arm around him and using her free hand to rub his knee comfortingly. She hadn’t realized he was in there; he was so delicate and he was afraid of lying to anyone - she should’ve phrased it a different way. “Yeah?” she murmured her question. “A nap sounds nice, but I have more things to do today. What are you up to for the rest of the day? Got practice, or are you gonna see if Jaemi is free to do some karaoke?”

A worried expression on his face, Rae curled up at Sora’s feet like an affectionate cat, frowning. “I did. I don’t lie–I didn’t mean to. I’m sorry,” he said quickly, admittedly a little anxious. In Raein’s eyes, there was nothing meaner than lying. He didn’t want people to think he lied to them–and if he had, at least not on purpose.

“Oh, Rae....” she sighed, scooting over in the chair and pulling him up so he was sitting half on her lap (he was much too big to really sit on her lap without smushing her). “It’s okay, sweetheart, I know you didn’t mean to. You like early mornings, I’m just really tired, okay? You didn’t lie.”

“Yeah, but when you’re done your schedules, we can take a bubble bath and I’ll attempt to braid your hair and fail again and we can fall asleep cuddling. Think of that to get you through it–I believe it you,” Kyu said teasingly. “No you look good sweaty. It’s hot. I’m not lying or biased. ….Okay maybe a little biased, but I’m being objective right now because I love you so much.” He muttered the last bit, watching someone walk by and making sure they couldn’t hear him, just in case. “Hey, I’m done for the day. You should let me style you. You’d look really nice.” His thumb traced the back of her hand gently and he stifled a huge yawn. “And you called me a liar. Look at you, lying all over the place. I’m disappointed in you. What would Raein say?”

“You’ll be asleep by the time I’m done. And if you’re not, I’ll kick your ass because it’ll be super late. You are never trying that again,” she laughed. “It took me twenty minutes to get that knot out the last time I let you braid it.” Sora rolled her eyes and shook her head; Lee Kyuyeol was good at a lot of things, but hair styling was not on that list. She’d much prefer to leave it to his sister who actually knew what she was doing. “I look gross. And I probably smell. I left my perfume on your bedside table so I didn’t have it to drench myself in. You’re super biased, you’re my husband.” Her voice was equally as quiet, something she hated that she had to do. Hopefully it’d only be for a bit longer. “I don’t wanna go,” she whined, getting up to sit on him (despite the fact that she just complained about how sweaty she was). “I have a photoshoot. And an interview. And then I have to go back to the studio. Which will probably leave me, like, three hours to sleep before I have to get up and meet with more people about stuff for Siren. Being the leader sucks, I wanna go back to being the pretty one.” She elbowed him. “Do not bring my sweet, innocent baby into this. Rae is too precious to ever hear things like that.”
