Prescribed burn outside the CSE building. Everything smelled like a campfire all day, including me. North Campus turkey was okay.

Trying to learn about Zeroconf. Have run into an obstacle to progress.
Snowboarders building a ramp in the CSE parking lot.
The roboticists are not fooled. They know it was us.
31C3!
Hot air balloon in the parking lot next to the CSE building.
Made a testbed shower in lab!
Our dear Ubi ♡
Domeball! Later we smashed a watermelon by dropping a cinderblock on it.
Balloons that beep and flash when they sense changes in light!
North Campus deer don't care.

April 15 in Ann Arbor, the year that winter refused to die. That's right, snow on Tax Day. The worst part is that it was nearly 70 degrees Fahrenheit just a few days prior. My roomate still had her window open when this happened.
This is my office doggie! His name is Toto. He and I can play peek-a-boo (with his light sensor) and fetch (with his accelerometer). Best of all, I can remotely monitor him and his doggie friends through the Thingsquare hivemind! I’m waiting to see how long it takes for him to die when he is off his leash (and on two AAA batteries).
Science!! My advisor playing with our visible light communication (VLC) testbed.
Riley Hanson, A&D Undergrad, and Christopher Stock, LS&A Undergrad, find a way to warm up during a day that the ‘U’ cancelled classes due to fear of windchill reaching -30F on January 28, 2014.
It was a brisk 8F this afternoon when Hanson and Stock built a jump over a hill facing North Campus.

I can't believe I missed this!
Elizabeth Cloos, Electrical Engineering PhD Student, works on the single crystal optical fibers apparatus in the Engineering Research Building on January 21, 2014.
Cloos, part of EECS Professor Stephen Rand’s research group, creates fibers made of crystals that can transmit mid-infrared bands of light, allowing for transmission of large amount of power.
