To say I ADORE MesserMoon (@sophsicle) does my love an injustice. I swoon, I pine, I lament, I stare dumbfounded at my broken bleeding heart after its been ripped from my chest and left on the floor in tattered shreds hoping it can somehow crawl back inside and beat again with any sense of normalcy. (looking side-eye at Choices rn…)

I followed along with Of His Bones as WIP but had to stop cause… life. Once I received the email it was completed, I IMMEDIATELY started on my typeset. Want to hold this story in my hands as I weep, leave my tears behind on the pages as witness. It’s a long one, so I used the last of my legal-sized cream paper to make the textblock manageable. This bind finishes off the one indulgent ream I purchased from Church paper. sigh…

Of His Bones is a Marauders Pirate AU, hence the ship on the cover. Allure Blue bookcloth from Hollanders took the HTV like a dream!

Watery ombre blues shimmering across the edges were painted in thinned down acrylics, peep the sword which has sunk to the ocean floor. Said sword was done by jproblematique over on IG as well as the stunning Prince Regulus and Pirate James on the title page spread. She also drew the crown to accompany the sword for the section breaks, which I incorporated into the title on the cover. Thank you for trading with me Juliette!

All the ship art for the endpages and chapter spreads was public domain.

Now excuse me as I step aboard and sail the high seas…

Dirty, Flirty and Vindictive

I was absolutely honored to make an author copy of Dirty, Flirty and Vindictive for WhatMurdah. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story with us!

As well as a gift for @ivmaruva and a trade with Michelle for the coolest Kindle book sleeve with a wand ribbon closure (peep the last pic). While I enjoyed Bloody, Slutty and Pathetic, I absolutely ADORED Neville and Pansy’s side story in it. So, when I saw 👀 they were getting their own story? to say I was elated is a gross understatement. 🥳

I followed along with DFV as a WIP and practically broke my screen mashing the notification email links🔗. This story has it all. Devoted, DBE badass plant 🌱 daddy Neville Longbottom who’s hunting down Death Eaters, a Pansy Parkinson who finally has a safe space to grow and blossom, electric conversation and high-stakes action.

Pansy in couture vellum inserts and front endpage by @annagaw. There also are some NSFW (and SFW) inserts by @artofcrumbs. And an Easter egg 🥚 insert which I gleaned from the story comments on AO3. 😳

I contemplated many versions, but ultimately decided upon this cover with a ton of Easter eggs, printed on lustre photo paper and covered with 1-mil soft touch laminate. It’s literally wrapped with vines to honor Hogwarts Herbology Professor/Nursery Owner Neville.

WhatMurdah is a genius incorporating delicious sights and smells into the story. Pansy wears a specific perfume for which I found Botanical prints to weave into the typeset: Coffee, Vanilla, Jasmine, Patchouli and Orange Blossoms, plus others reflecting story elements. They have their coordinating chapter and page number at the top. I also purchased a small bottle of the perfume and spritzed the book. 👃🏼

Glued double-fan method and used an Oxford Hollow to support the spine.

I tweaked my BSP typeset to match and will be remaking it soon. Dirty, Flirty and Vindictive is available to read for FREE on AO3.
