I miss everything.

I miss being able to look at someone and think that, yeah I can trust them. Yeah, that’s my friend.

I miss the warmth of hugs from someone that yearns for you. That lusts for you. That legitimately loves you.

I miss who I was cause the confident man you once knew and loved is gone. Broken down by years of feeling neglected and unappreciated. How do you tell people that you want to feel wanted?

They say people born in my generation are stuck in a constant state of nostalgia. I want to live in the moment but it’s lonelier and less fullfilling than my past.

At least in my past, I can say I have loved, smiled, lived.
