Nothing motivates me more than watching @itsmikepayne chase after his dreams. He took a crazy risk 3 years ago today to start @thisisfancy.ca and he's finally starting to see the well-deserved fruits of his labour. In the last year, I've watched him take on big challenges, win lots of awesome new clients, hire friends to join his team, stay up late to meet deadlines, all while generously sharing his knowledge along the way. He's taught me so much about business and people that sometimes I feel like I'm cheating because he's on my team. But the truth is, I'm not alone in that feeling. He's the unfair advantage to all his clients and co-workers and I am so proud of him and honoured to take a front row seat on this journey. Working for myself is fun but I quickly discovered that I didn't want to work by myself for long.
