Strong women are gloriously beautiful at any age.
This is really cool.

Things to Remember When Complaining About HP Casting:
Daniel Radcliffe tried to wear contacts but they irritated his eyes.
Evanna Lynch was not promised the part if she beat anorexia, she auditioned and got it herself. J.K. Rowling was both pleased and surprised when she found out.
MOST OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS WERE CAST WHEN THEY WERE FREAKIN’ TEN YEARS OLD! OH MY GOD! THE FILMMAKERS HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEY WOULD LOOK LIKE WHEN THEY GREW UP! THEY DIDN’T KNOW EMMA WOULD BE SO PRETTY! THEY DIDN’T KNOW RUPERT WOULDN’T BE LANKY! AND THEY DIDN’T KNOW THAT DAN WOULD BE SO SHORT!

PRINCESA
Like, seriously. The only feminists I have ever EVER met who weren’t dropping slurs, worshipping racist historical figures, staunchly against sex work, or whatever else I met on the Internet. And even then it’s been a handful. But I’m wrong if I say the movement is so harmful to myself and others that it makes me uncomfortable to be a part of it?
And it’s not like I’m talking about feminists who just so happen to be racist or whatever. Their feminism will be racist - forever us leaving out, stealing from us, refusing to even acknowledge race for fear of “distracting” and “dividing.” Same goes for the cissexism - from the “yay uterus=woman” baby feminists to the radfems who literally dedicate time out of their day to sending trans women death threats. How am I the worst person ever for wanting to distance myself from that?
And the few appalled feminists I saw in my inbox? How often do they argue against “not all men” and “real men don’t” but they came to my inbox with “not all feminists” and “real feminists don’t.” How ironic. And it doesn’t matter what “branch” of feminism you offer to me - radical, liberal, white, baby, vs Real True™ feminism. They all have these huge ostracizing issues. The only one that seemed okay was black womanism - until the transmisogyny came out among the group I was interacting with.
I’m not saying identifying as a feminist is bad or I hate you for being a feminist. If you’re concerned about oppression around the board, great! Awesome! Keep being great! Be part of the reason feminism gets better. But I personally feel too hurt and ostracized by the current movement to count myself among you. And if you harass me for that, you’re not a very good feminist. That’s all.
through sadness and difficult times i still don’t allow myself to become hardened by my hurt. i remain soft, hopeful, and compassionate. this is my nature and i do not give myself enough credit for it. softness is resilience too.
Lets play the game called "how did you find my blog and what made you want to follow"
I’m baaaack!
I can’t promise any pics of myself now, but they’ll come promise
Due to mental difficulties, I’m going to take a break for a while
The best people possess a feeling for beauty, the courage to take risks, the discipline to tell the truth, the capacity for sacrifice. Ironically, their virtues make them vulnerable; they are often wounded, sometimes destroyed.
