Dark Knight/Dark Knight Rises Blu Ray Aspect Ratio Freak Out!

So I'm watching the Dark Knight Rises Blu Ray on my 46 inch widescreen HDTV, and I noticed the scenes keep switching from letterbox to full screen. I was well aware that some of the movie was filmed with IMAX cameras and some wasn't, but why the fuck does it keep switching in and out. That shit might be the most annoying viewing experience I've ever had with any movie at home. Granted, the IMAX scenes look FUCKING AMAZING in full screen HD, but I feel like I'd have been happier if they managed to keep the same aspect ratio throughout, even if it meant going full screen on the non-IMAX scenes. Rant finished. Now you all know about this, and knowing is half the battle.
