Why every woman should weightlift
Your ass will look fantastic
Your body composition will change
Your bones will be stronger
Your heart will be healthier
Your body will become more defined
But more important than any physical change that will come from weightlifting is the MENTAL change. Because ladies, lifting weights is one of the most empowering activities you can engage in.
As women, weāre conditioned to want to be smaller. To be more petite, meek, submissive, quiet, polite. To take up less space, physically and figuratively.
Weightlifting will increase the size of your thighs and your presence. It will make you stronger, more confident, more appreciative of your body. It will make you feel powerful, sexy, self assured, and LARGE AND IN CHARGE.
So to my beautiful ladies: please lift weights and donāt be afraid to get bigger. Donāt be afraid to take up more space.

Letās get real for a second. Yāall, I am a mental health therapist and I have been struggling so freaking badly with major depressive disorder (MDD) for the last couple of months. I am not suicidal. I donāt cry. Iām not a complainer. Instead, I am exhausted, getting out of bed is hard, I am crazy crabby, I am falling behind in housework, the gym, and at work, and I am racked with guilt every single day. Iām not telling you this as a cry for help. Iām telling you this because no one is immune to depression. It can hit us all! I have a rewarding job, I can pay my bills (barely), I have a loving family and friends, Iām able bodied, and the list goes on! In the last two months Iāve lost 4 pounds, have been talked to by my boss, have taken multiple āsick days,ā and experienced another relationship that didnāt work out. BUT, damnit! I got back to the gym tonight and it felt good! I can finally feel myself coming out of this funk. Keep your head up, all. You are NOT alone. :) Feel free to follow mytherapeuticthoughts. I donāt post often but sometimes I share some good shit :)
