Didn't make it in time
Draco falls ill and Harry is so desperate to find a cure he spends little to no time with him. The doctors have already said there is no cure but Harry is stubborn and won't let Draco just die without giving a fight.
The night Draco dies in a hospital bed, Harry doesn't make it to the hospital in time. He doesn't get to say goodbye to him and regrets his stupidity for the rest of his life.
Harry was raised by THE DURSLEYS guys, that boy didn't know about thr LGBTQ+ community until he saw Percy Weasley kiss Oliver Wood before a Quidditch match and was like "THAT'S AN OPTION??????"
Ron and Hermione explained it to him (Ron more than Hermione bc all his brothers are part of the community idc)
ALSO i like to imagine that the Wizarding Wolrd is WAYYYY more open to LGBTQ+ because there's no religious shit and stuff. So I hc everyone is either gay, lesbian, bi, pan, aroace, trans/gender fluid or an ally

Unrequited Drarry.
Harry and Draco had grown closer after the war. Draco wasn't sure why Harry had decided he was worth of his attention, but he wasn't complaining. They never bickered anymore, they could have a chat without throwing insults at each other, and... It was nice.
Draco was head over heels for Harry. Merlin, he had been for years now. And, to be honest, he had gotten his hopes up when they started being friends. But... Harry was still with Ginny. He liked her. He loved her, he'd said it himself.
"I truly think she's the one, Draco.", Harry revealed one day. Draco grinned at him, but his heart ached so painfully.
He knew it was his own fault for getting his hopes up. Harry had never shown any signs of liking him, he was the one making up stuff that wasn't, and would never be real.
Still, it hurt. He couldn't help but cry a little bit later that night, knowing he'd never get what he wanted the most in his life. Draco would always be pining from afar. When Harry and Ginny got married. When they had their first son. When they were the happiest they'd ever been. Draco could do nothing but feel happy for Harry and slightly jealous of Ginny.
I've seen a few post-war Werewolf!Draco fanfics. But has anyone ever thought about how much it could change the story if younger Draco was a werewolf?
This is my personal idea!
In 1993, August 2nd (full moon) Lucius and Draco are in Knockturn Alley for whatever reason, and Draco gets attacked by a werewolf that was wandering around. He gets bitten. Lucius can't look Draco in the eyes for weeks.
September 1st is a full moon, and Draco doesn't want to go back to Hogwarts, he just can't. Not like this. He spends his first full moon in his mother's arms (Snape made and sent him a Wolfsbane potion personally).
The next day, his parents convince him to go back to school. He's transported through floo, right to Dumbledore's office. Everything is too loud and too bright now that his senses are sharper. He can hear everyone all the time and it's driving him crazy. He can't stand being outside on a sunny day and the smell of everything makes him nauseous.
But there's something else. He knows there's another one around. He can sense it. He knows he's not the only werewolf at school, but doesn't know who the other one is. Until his first D.A.D.A. lesson of the year, that is. He immediately recognises Professor Lupin as a werewolf. And Professor Lupin knows about Draco himself.
"I know what you are.", Draco tells Lupin after the first lesson, which is boggarts.
"And I know about you.", Lupin replies, with a kind smile.
They chatted a bit, and Draco strangely liked Professor Lupin. He knew a lot, he'd been a werewolf for most of his life.
Every full moon, Draco knocked on Lupin's door, and the professor would let him stay in his office for the night. Draco noticed Lupin could be forgetful about important stuff sometimes, so he started making sure the older man had taken his Wolfsbane.
"Have you taken your potion yet?", Draco asked.
"Yes, Draco, thanks.", the professor would reply.
They grew closer, almost like father and son. Draco cried into Lupin's shoulder about Lucius's abusive behaviour. Remus spilled a tear or two while telling Draco about Sirius.
Draco trusted Remus more than he'd ever trusted anyone, and that included his mom and his friends.
Something... Something about God!Draco and Mortal!Harry.....
What if I said Narcissa is the Goddess of Life and Lucius is the God of Intelligence and Draco is their little son, God of Love. Narcissa personally creates every living form, and for a while, Draco's favourite were flowers. Until Narcissa comes up with humans.
She and Lucius create a few human souls as a trial, and when everything seems to be settled, they show Draco. Draco is fascinated in every sense of the word, and the first human soul he watched his mom and dad create was Harry. He is immediately enamored and wouldn't let Harry's soul get down to the Earth, because "I want to keep him mom, please".
Eventually he lets him go, and cries a little while saying goodbye to him. One of his tears falls on Harry's soul and it's the first human soul Draco 'takes a part in making' to put it in a way.
When Harry is born he grows up feeling like there's something missing, like something inside him has been taken away and he needs it back.
Draco watches Harry all the time, and eventually he asks his parents if he can go visit him.
"He doesn't remember you", Lucius tells him, but Narcissa disagrees.
"Let him go, he can look around and come back after a while", she says.
So Draco goes down to the Earth, and when Harry first sees him, he feels like he's seen his face before. Like he should remember such a pretty face.
"Do I know you from anywhere?", he asks.
"I don't know, do you?" Draco replies.

Imagine 11 year-old Harry developing a crush on 11 year-old Draco
And because he doesn't know how else to show affection, he starts cleaning his side of the dorm, washing his clothes, doing his homework, etc...
And Little Innocent Confused Draco™ is like ??? because "why is Harry doing the house elves' chores? He okay?"
Eventually, though, Harry tells Hermione about what he's been doing and why, and she's so sad for Harry, but also decides to help him show Draco affection without being a fucking servant.
Years later, after the war, after Hogwarts, after getting married, Harry remembers and tells Draco, and they're both kind of sad but find it pretty funny in the end.
I remember telling my cousin I headcanon Luna Lovegood having autism and she went "OMG ALEX STFU NOT EVERYONE IS AUTISTIC" or something, like girl IT'S MY HEADCANON, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT FINE BUT LIKE LET ME BE???
I had to shower with cold water yesterday and I absolutely hated it (it's autumn where I live, I was fucking freezing) so I'm here today to ruin everyone's day!
What if I said
The Dursleys didn't let Harry shower with warm water
They never even told him he could shower with warm water. They told him it had to be cold or else he "doesn't clean up properly". Basically just lied to him out of pure cruelty, just because they could, just to make his life more of a living hell for him.
Harry didn't know about the existence or how comforting it was to shower with warm water after a cold winter afternoon. He didn't know until during third year he got a cold and Madame Pomfrey ordered him to take a warm bath. He laughed, thought it was a joke. Hermione and Ron looked at him with pure sadness in their eyes as later he explained them what the Dursleys always told him.
"Harry... Who- Who told you that? You've been showering with cold water during winter?" Hermione was horrified and Ron was ready to murder Harry's relatives.
I'm not sorry.
Draco being a good dad, despite growing up in an abusive environment
Don't get me wrong, I love supportive and loving Lucius in fanfictions. But a Lucius Malfoy that doesn't really cares about his son, only about the way the Malfoy name is perceived. A Lucius Malfoy that doesn't care if he hurt his son - verbally or physically. A Lucius Malfoy that almost beat the life out of Draco when he found out he was gay. A Lucius Malfoy that told Draco boys didn't cry.
And a Draco Malfoy that was the complete opposite of his father. A Draco Malfoy that spends as much time with Scorpius as possible. A Draco Malfoy that tucks his son to bed and stays with him until he falls asleep. A Draco Malfoy that puts his son's happiness over everything and everyone. A Draco Malfoy that hugs Scorpius tightly when he cries, telling him everything would be okay, dad was here to protect him.
Scorpius grew up surrounded by love, support, hugs and sweet words before going to sleep. He grew up loved and some might even say spoiled - although he was everything but a soiled kid. He grew up trusting his dad without a doubt.
One time, they go visit Narcissa. Scorpius started crying and Narcissa was trying to calm him down like "shh, Scorp, please, be quiet, your dad will hear you", scared Draco would get mad. The Black Family is Cursed
Like literally cursed
Every Black that gets sorted into Slytherin and falls for a Gryffindor will suffer a heartbreak. No one knows who cursed the family but THEY DID, and this led to
Narcissa falling for Alice. They can't be together because of the war.
Regulus falls for James. The feelings are unrequited.
Draco falls for Harry. His mother warned him about the curse, and he tries ignoring his feelings, breaking his own heart.
"Draco, honey, promise me something" Narcissa asked after she told Draco about the curse. "Never fall for a Gryffindor".
But he did, because he couldn't help it. He felt like he was suffocating every time he looked in Harry's direction.
"I'm sorry, mum".
Imagine Narcissa telling Draco all of the family lore as he grew up. Like, Draco knew more about James and Sirius than Harry did himself, it was crazy.
Narcissa was also super convinced that Sirius was innocent, so during his third year Draco was like "yeah Sirius Black was a murderer, fucking whatever, I know the goddamn truth"
He also knew about Sirius dating Remus and was like "I love learning about boggarts professor but have you ever been in love with a convicted murderer by any chance" and everyone looks at him like he's fucking crazy
I imagine the lore dumps going like
"did you know your uncle Regulus dated Harry Potter's dad for a year when he was 15?"
"wHAT TELL ME EVERYTHING"
and they both end up sobbing because James broke Reg's heart and none of James's friends knew that they were together and he left Regulus for Lily and--
Then Draco is mad at James Potter and therefore mad at Harry too. So he uh

Draco and Luna grew up together

After Regulus's death, Narcissa and Pandora became really close because they both loved him so much and the grief was so much that they put their differences aside, becoming friends.
Draco and Luna grew up together, they were like siblings. Because of this, Draco grew up to be a kinder, gentler person, while Luna also became less naive. They spent afternoons and evenings together playing, making flower crowns, just being kids.
Also Draco wasn't a racist lil shit so that's good. Draco actually befriended Harry, Ron and Hermione, not necessarily being a permanent addition to the group but being around a lot!
During Luna's first year at Hogwarts, Draco introduced her to all of his friends as his sister, and some people at Hogwarts actually thought they were biological siblings because they looked so much alike.
Draco hexed anyone who called his lil sister "loony Lovegood".
So I've had this idea for a Drarry fanfic sitting in the back of my head hitting my brain with a hammer for a few days now and I wanna share. It's like a post-war thing, but also not really? In this AU Harry never dated Ginny. Also in their eighth year Harry and Draco had like a one night hookup??? It's all so messy but it makes sense in my head I swear.
After redoing his eighth year at Hogwarts, Draco marries Astoria (partly to make his mom happy) and whem they're 20 they have Scorpius as a secret, no one but close family/friends know. Astoria dies a few months after having Scorpius and Draco is destroyed, but he has Narcissa, who's helping him raise the kid.
When Scorpius is around 3-4, Lucius (who is in Azkaban) dies and Narcissa couldn't take it, and fell ill out of sadness, dying a few months later. Draco is, again, destroyed. But he has a 4-year-old kid now and he decides to shut down and just focus on Scorpius's pain.
A few days later, he sends a letter to Sirius and Remus (THEY'RE ALIVE AND MARRIED OKAY LET ME HAVE THIS) telling them about Narcissa's death and since Sirius is the only alive family he has, he invites them to the funeral. He also adds that if he wants to, Harry can come too.
Scorpius isn't at the funeral, and without his son's eyes to see him weak, Draco breaks down crying and sobbing. Sirius comforts him and once he calms down he tells him that if he needed anything, he could owl them.
The next month Sirius and Remus tried inviting Draco to dinner or tea multiple times, but he kindly rejects every time. Harry, who's aware about the whole situation, is worried, because he thinks - from his overthinking about everything - that Draco might try killing himself (of course he won't because he has Scorpius BUT NO ONE REALLY KNOWS)
So Harry being Harry, shows up unannounced at Draco's house like "haha hi I was passing by and thought I'd visit" and Draco is panicking inside but lets Harry in. His hair is a mess and the living room is full of toys that Harry doesn't understand why Draco has. Until Scorpius flies into the living room on his kids broom and Harry's like "oh. oh."
Scorpius almost cried because he's the biggest Harry fan in the whole world because of course he is. And so Harry shakes Scorpius's hand and then Draco tells Scorpius to go play, because the adults need to have a conversation. Scorpius nods and hugs Harry before leaving and Harry looks at Draco and Draco is smiling the sweetest and most beautiful smile Harry has seen him smile.
Draco proceeds to explain thay he has a son and everything and Harry seems very understanding of everything. And for the next few months Harry, Sirius and Remus visit Draco and Scorpius and aahwhhhh I don't know they fall in love how adorable.
