Also: Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko
So it’s not quite snowing on Churyumov–Gerasimenko, unfortunately; the white specks are artifacts of cosmic rays impinging on the CCDs in the camera, as well as a rotating starfield in the background (since the comet is spinning). A few specks could be dust. But, holy shit, that’s the surface of a comet. That’s a spot you could in theory cling to for dear life sit down on. The Cliffs of Comet 76p are a place.
If that isn’t the neatest shit I don’t know what is.

This is one of the funniest lines jotaro ever uttered.
OK the joke is funny but. But. Listen. I wanna take a close close look at his face here.
Look at him. He’s terrified. He’s so so scared that everything they’ve gone through up until now will be for naught if he dies because he’s the only one who can defeat Dio. This child has his mother’s fate (plus the entire WORLD’S fate) on his shoulders and he’s so, so scared to fail everyone.
Jotaro was seventeen during SDC. My little brother is almost seventeen. He’s a kid. Hell, I’m almost 19 and consider myself a child still. They were all so, so young. Jotaro saw his closest friends die horrible deaths at only seventeen. He had to kill all those people at only seventeen. And he wasn’t allowed to be weak. He wasn’t allowed to be scared. Jotaro had to be the tough guy for the team because everyone leans on him even though he’s one of the youngest (youngest being Kakyoin who’s born five months after Jotaro).
Even his grandfather, who literally fought FOUR pillarmen, a fuck ton of vampires and is also literally the oldest and authority figure of the crusaders; dumps this responsibility on Jotaro.
And that frame hits me because his front slips. He’s facing death and it’s one of the only moments in the entire fucking series that Jotaro just. Allows himself to show fear. He has to be strong but at this point he just can’t anymore but he still pushes through it.
Jotaro is a tragic character. I understand people saying he lacks depth but I will defend him until my last fucking breath.
He was only seventeen.
