Was rewatching black vinegar arc while doodling today. And I just everytime… everytime it makes me think about Teru.

When shigeo calls him out and tells him he is nothing without his powers, what is Teru thinking? Shigeo is basically calling everything he has gone through worthless. His powers don’t make him special. If he is special his loneliness has meaning. If he is special his sadness has value. If he is special he can get attention and recognition.

If he isn’t special, he is worthless and nothing.

Shigeo sees right through Teru’s skin. And calls him out for who he is.

In season 3 Teru does the same. He sees through Shigeo’s exterior and calls him out. And it pisses shigeo off. Like it pissed Teru off too.

They are so similar and so different and I want to think about them so much right now.

Teru one day at a sleep over, when it’s 3 am and you say things you don’t mean to say, sleepily tells shigeo how much those words hurt but they were what he needed to hear. And how he felt lonely. And how much shigeo means to him

And maybe reveals that he has been living alone since he was basically 9

After school Going Home Club

English translation(my first language is not English) for the small comics(16p) I did a couple year ago for Teru-centric fanzine.

I wanted to explore Teru&Joseph (that no one really did) dynamic as they miiight have some common interest: fight criminal espers. Also wanted to introduce Teru an adult mentor(?) other than Reigen.

I'm not so proud of the story as I struggled a bit at the conclusion part. But here we are. I hope you enjoy it.
