Some of the first art I ever did for them! This is what sucked me back into fan circles after a hiatus I’d taken. I had about a week of being in the fandom before I had to go full traditional art while I traveled.

As for Ritshou though I don't remember exactly what I had in mind, maybe that it has a super cool basis to be toxic and I guess from the start of Shou's appearance he's not really a bad guy but rather playing a bad guy (or so I understood it) and still it doesn't stop him from taking up really horrible measures to get what he wants (after all he's Toichiro's son, he's not gonna be gentle). And !! I think what I was kinda unhappy about is the lack of acknowledgement towards it compared to other "toxic" ships in this fandom. Anyways, it can be very much unhealthy as it gets with Shou's methods and ways of acting and Ritsu's *Nii-san* issues that take time to unlearn.

I love ritshou it has so much potential but I think a lot of the potential comes from them being that couple that solves lovers quarrels with physical, knock-down drag-out fights that leave bones broken on BOTH sides and yet both of them much calmer afterwards too. Like they're similar and they relate to each other but they relate to each other in that their respective fears of the more powerful psychics in their family fucked them up. I imagine them like snakes tangled up in each other, jagged edges fitting together because they're messed up :D

But Shou uses trickery and violence to get what he wants, and he doesn't ever seem to regret or feel bad about it—meanwhile, Ritsu's psychic powers awakened and grew because of the crushing guilt he felt for the terrible things he was doing and going along with. The difference between them being that Ritsu knows there's something wrong with him and would like to fix it, whereas Shou likely doesn't think there's anything wrong with what he does. That could create some MASSIVE issues with their relationship that would be super super fun to explore >:3
