I've deleted my recent posts about Lucrecia, not because I change my opinion, but because of the recent threat on my life regarding her. I failed to remember that there are people in Fandom spaces that are so chronically online and get so looped into fiction that they forget the reality around them.

Someone having an opinion on a fictional character shouldn't affect you in real life. If you feel that it does, please, seek help. You should not be raging, crying, or attacking others over these sort of things. But you especially should not be threatening the lives of others over game opinions.

I don't mind when people disagree with me. I've never threatened anyone's life over it, and a lot of the times, I won't argue about different opinions because it's not worth it. I'm happy to discuss things, but I will not argue. That being said, I don't block people over disagreeing with me. I will block and feel uneasy when you threaten to BEHEAD ME!

I love Final Fantasy VII. It's my favorite series and I even go as far as to writing fics and making an OC for it. Obviously, I feel deeply connected to the game, but not to the point where I lose my sense on reality.

To say that I'm uncomfortable is and understatement. I've been insulted over game opinions, but I've never had my life threatened over it. I'm shocked, but also not at the same time. I forget that this is the same fandom where people have threatened devs over ships.

I'll refrain from engaging on this app and Fandom for a little bit. Thank you for understanding.

I love that Sephiroth's biological parents were married and yet he still doesn't seem to have a last name. 😭

Trashing and hating a complex female character like Lucrecia to the point of saying she’s worse than Hojo himself because she rejected Vincent in a time of extreme guilt over his father’s death or because she agreed to an experiment on her unborn child that was meant to produce an ancient is beyond absurd.

She was one person who made human mistakes and paid for it dearly. Then she made up for the ones with Vincent by saving his life after he was murdered by her psychotic, abusive husband, and in the midst of it, her baby was stolen by a massively weaponized megacorp power that she had no chance of combatting. She was ONE person.

And all of that pain caused her to try and take her own life after leaving a full explanation and apology for Vincent, who would live on.

Lucrecia tried and felt and regretted and fought to undo the mess she had helped make. She deserved so much better in the end.

Sometimes, I remember Lucrecia refers to Hojo as "Doctor" and not "Professor" like everyone and I die a little on the inside.

Myriam isn't much of a cook. She barely pays attention when she does. However, when she does make food, Sephiroth will eat every bite—even if it's bad. It makes him feel loved when someone like her takes the time to do something like that for him.

I know when Myriam and Sephiroth get frisky in the sheets, she has to close her eyes sometimes. Imagine those bright, cyan cat-like eyes staring down at you as your cheeks are getting clapped.

I have a headcanon that Sephiroth uses really strong floral scents, not because he doesn't want to smell like a lab, but because he doesn't want to smell like Hojo.

If you can take the time to understand Sephiroth's actions, you can understand the choices of Lucrecia Crescent. You can't coddle and go "Oh. Poor baby boy Sephiroth" and then in the same sitting entirely blame Lucrecia for what happened to him. Yes, she is to blame—TO AN EXTENT—but the overall blame is on Hojo and Shinra's shoulders.

You can't catch onto the subtle hints that Sephiroth was abused (I'm referring to before Ever Crisis was out), and then ignore the OBVIOUS hints that Lucrecia was a victim of abuse as well.

"Hojo and Lucrecia married for science." Did ya'll even play Dirge? It was clear that Hojo was incredibly manipulative to lure Lucrecia in. Vincent literally says "As long as she's happy" because he thought she was happy and in love with Hojo, and she likely was at one point. Some of you also forget that Hojo preyed on Lucrecia at a very vulnerable point in her life.

We can recognize that Lucrecia did awful, but you also have to recognize that she was a victim of Hojo and Shinra as well.

By the way, Sephiroth did far more abhorrent things than Lucrecia did. Some of ya'll Lucrecia haters are letting your misogyny show, and there really is no denying that.

Obviously, Sephiroth loves Myriam, but I bet a deep part of him was happy she's a Shinra because he fucked up their bloodline by getting her pregnant. 😂
