“Eomma! Minji drew on the cabinets again!” Jiwoo, your oldest, screamed from her and Minji’s room.
You dropped the clothes you had in your hands, and ran to the room. Your eyes immediately locking in on Minji clutching a purple crayon in her tiny hand, and the white cabinets behind her full of swirls and flowers.
“No! Minji,” you groaned, kneeling down to her level and grabbing the crayon straight out of her hand. “How many times do I have to tell you that drawing on cabinets and walls is bad.”
“Jiwoo,” her head snapped up from her where she was standing and watching. “Go get me a towel and wet it with water. Bring it to me quickly.” She ran to the bathroom and came back, handing you the towel.
You turned back to Minji, holding the towel out to her. “Come here.” She hesitated, taking slow and small steps. “Take the towel and clean your mess.”
“But, eomma…” she started, “No. No buts, start wiping.”
With a tiny pout, she began scrubbing at the purple marks. Most of it coming off, but the darker marks made her little arms quickly become tired.
A few minutes later you crouched down beside her and helped her finish.
When the last mark was gone, you set the towel aside and got up from kneeling. “Now go sit by the wall. You’re on timeout until I say you can leave.”
Minji’s eyes immediately watered. “No! Eomma! I don’t want time out.” she cried out. “I know you don’t but you have to learn.”
She reached for your hand. “Eomma please…”
You gently squeezed her hand, before letting go. “Go. Now. Don’t try to fight me on this.”
With her head hanging low, she slowly walked to the timeout spot, sniffing quietly as she sat down facing the wall.
You watched her for a second before turning to Jiwoo. “Jiwoo, come here.”
“Yes eomma?”
“Help me finish cleaning and then you can watch TV.”

Around five minutes later the door opened. “I’m home!” Jungwon announced, taking his shoes off at the front door.
“Appa!” Jiwoo hurried to the door, jumping in Jungwons arm and hugging him. “I missed you appa!”
“I missed you too.” he smiled, kissing the top of her head before setting her down.
They bothed walked to the kitchen, where you were finishing up dinner. “Hey love,” he said softly, wrapping his arm around your waist.
You leaned into him for a second, resting your head briefly against his shoulder. “How was work?”
“Long,” he sighed, “How was your day?”
“Good… but you’re gonna have to talk to Minji,” you told him while wrapping your arms around him. “Hm? Why?” he questioned.
“Go talk to her, shes in timeout right now.” He nodded before giving your waist a gentle squeeze. “I’ll be right back.”
She looked up after hearing his footsteps, “Appa!” her eyes lit up the second she saw him.
no He sat down near her, “Why are you in timeout, huh? What did my princess do?”
She pouted again, looking down and not answering. “Minji…” he said a little more firmly.
She crossed her arms and grunted before murmuring, “I drew on cabinets…”
“And why did you do that?”
“Because I was bored.”
“You never draw on furniture princess, only paper.” he explained, “Don’t tell your eomma though—But I like your drawings… even on the walls.”he joked, not wanting to see her more upset. Oh how he was going to regret that.
Minji giggled slightly, her pout disappearing into a grin. “Really appa..?”
“Mhm, of course! Just don’t tell eomma”
“Yang Jungwon.” both Minji and Jungwons smile disappeared, both turning to you slowly. “Why are you making her laugh? She’s in timeout for a reason!” you scolded him.
He blinked, nervous and worried, “I was just trying to lighten her mood…” he admitted, standing up and reaching for your hand. You backed away before he could grab you and pointed to the wall where Minji was. “Timeout. Now.”
“What.” he asked in disbelief. “Wait—babe, no, I just got home please.”
“Nope, go sit now.” you heard Jiwoo laugh from the table, watching her sister and dad both get in trouble.
He let out a quiet sigh before sitting back down again, this time for a different reason.
Minji watched with quiet amusement as he lowered himself onto the floor beside her. He looked over at you, “How long?”
“The same time she has.” he nodded. Without another word, he sat facing foward beside Minji. Already regretting what he did.
Minji slowly scooted closer until their shoulders touched. Looking up at him and teasing him, “Ooo, appa you’re in trouble toooo.”
“Shh, your eommas gonna put more time.” he laughed, letting her rest her head on his shoulder.
After ten minutes you decided it was enough time and walked over, “Alright. Time’s over.”
Minji stood up first and ran into your arms, “I’m sorry eomma.” you hugged her tightly before letting go and staring at her face, “You know why mommy had to put you in timeout right?”
“Yes eomma…I know.” she nodded seriously before turning to her appa.
He stood up, dusting his pants off. “Appa, up!” she demanded with her hands up in a grabbing gesture. He laughed while bending down and picking her up with one arm. The other wrapping around your shoulder.
He led both of you to the table where he let Minji down in her seat before hugging Jiwoo who was waiting to eat.

After dinner, Jiwoo and Minji were in the living room watching a cartoon while you and Jungwon quickly cleaned up the kitchen. Without a word, he slipped both arms around your waist again, pulling you close. “You really put me in timeout,” he murmured, his face resting in your neck leaving small kisses.
“Mhm, you know the rules babe.” you slightly teased him.
He smiled softly, his head coming out from your neck and looking down at you. “You’re lucky I love you.” you laughed, giving him a quick kiss.

Jaehyun started to sleep with you and Jake when he turned three, always wanting to be in the comfort of his eomma and appa.
Jake and you had talked for a while to do something about making him sleep in his own room before he got any older as he was now five.
“I think we should start doing it now before he gets too used to sleeping with us. If we keep letting him he’s never going to want to sleep in his room.” you explained to him on a day where Jaehyun was at Jakes mom house.
Jake nodded, understanding your point. He also wanted to finally have you alone in bed but you didn’t have to know that.
“Goodnight baby.” you and Jake said, closing the door to Jaehyuns room. Jaehyun was confused at first when you told him he wasn’t sleeping in your bed. But agreed to try.
You let out a sigh once you got to your room, walking to the bed with Jake following behind. His hand finding your waist once you both got comfortable under the covers. You inched closer to him, your back on his chest now.
Jakes lip got closer to your neck, softly kissing you before getting to your lips. “I missed this.” he admits out loud. You chuckled, fully understanding how he felt. “Me too, it was comfortable with him here but, I missed being able to be close with you.”
“Hmm, same. Let’s sleep now though, im tired.” he yawned.
As you were drifting off to sleep, you heard the bedroom door open and soft, but still noticeable footsteps.
You slightly moved up, not wanting to disturb the already sleeping Jake behind you, and saw Jaehyun standing at the foot of the bed. His blanket and favorite plushie in his hands.
“What happened Jaehyun?”
He slightly shifted, avoiding eye contact. “Can I sleep with you eomma…I can’t sleep.” he asked, his puppy eyes looking up at you.
“Jaehyun, you have to sleep in your room.” you remind him, slowly taking off Jakes hand from your waist and getting up.
“Just one more time eomma…” he pleaded.
“No my baby, c’mon lets go back to your room.” you picked him up, walking to the door. “Nooo, eomma!” he shrieked, starting to have a tantrum.
You turned around to Jake, seeing him slightly shifting from the noise. “Jaehyun, no. Don’t start yelling, let your appa sleep!”
He tried escaping from your arms while you were getting closer and closer to his room.
“Listen Jaehyun, i’ll stay here until you sleep. I won’t leave or sleep until you are asleep. Is that good for you?” you tried reasoning with him after putting him down in his bed.
“Do you promise?”
“I would never lie baby, go to sleep.” you kissed his forehead while tucking him back into bed. Sitting on the floor next to his bed.
When Jake woke up to an empty and cold bed, he was confused. It was still too early for you to be up.
He got up and put on his slippers, his eyes fighting back sleep while walking to Jaehyuns room. The door being cracked open.
He peeks in and sees your body on the floor, your head leaning onto Jaehyun bed. He chuckles, walking up to you and softly shaking you to wake up.
“Love, get up.” you hear. Groaning, confused and tired. “Hmm?”
“You fell asleep on the floor babe, get up and come to bed.” Jake says, moving your hair from your face. You opened your eyes, seeing Jake staring at you while your on the floor.
He helps you stand up and walk back to your shared room. He puts the covers over you, “What happened?” he asks. “Jaehyun just got a bit nervous and I think I just…fell asleep.”
He doesn’t say anything after that, just cuddles up into you, kissing the top of your hair before going back to sleep once you did.

Your son, Ji-ho, had barely been a couple of days old when Jay started teaching him about Formula 1. On race days, Jay would be holding baby Ji-ho, trying not to scream at the screen.
Jay pointed at the screen, naming all the cars he could while Ji-ho stared blankly. “Look,” he whispered proudly, “That’s a Ferrari.”
You laughed from behind the couch. “He can’t even see properly yet babe.”
“It’s better he learns now than later.”
“He’s barely a week old…”
From then on, F1 became a permanent part of Ji-ho’s childhood. By the time he was four years old, he could recognize different team colors. At five, he knew the names of several drivers. And at six, he started asking questions.
“Appa, what’s a pit stop?” oh, little Ji-ho doesn’t understand the effect that simple question had on his appa.
That evening turned into an hour long lesson involving toy cars, cushions on the floor to make a border for the cars, and Jay dramatically demonstrating tire changes on the floor.
You found them later, Ji-ho sat crossed legged, completely focused while Jay explained race strategies with hand gestures.
“An undercut is where a trailing driver pits earlier than the car ahead to gain track position, which is why undercutting is important. Got it?” Jay asked.
Ji-ho nodded seriously.
You stared for a moment, “Jay-ah, he’s six.”
“It’s fine, he understands.”
Race weekends became chaos in your house.
Jay would wake up early, sneaking around in the kitchen to make breakfast. Except he was never really quiet. You would wake up to plates being put on the table, cabinets opening and closing, and worse—he would wake up Ji-ho which caused you to wake up.
“Ji-ho, wake up.” Jay whispered loudly outside your son’s room.
You groaned into your pillow, “Jay,”
“Yes love?”
“Shut up.”
Before he could respond, tiny footsteps raced down the hallway. “Appa! Is the race starting?”

Soon, race mornings consisted of Ji-ho sitting beside Jay on the couch wearing a tiny team cap that Jay had bought him.

Jay had nearly cried when Ji-ho told him. “You made the right choice.” was all Jay said.
You rolled your eyes, oh how dramatic your husband was.
Unfortunately, this happiness wouldn’t stay for long. It happened out of nowhere. One saturday afternoon, you were finishing up the laundry while Jay cleaned the dishes. Ji-ho came down from his room and sat at the dining table. Looking nervous.
“What happened Ji-ho?” you asked, noticing his nervous state. Getting up from folding and walking up behind him. “Appa,” he said.
Jay looked up from the dishes, turned off the water, and dried his hands. “Yeah?”
“I think I like Ferrari now.” he quickly said, nervous to see his dad’s reaction. Your eyes went to Jay, trying not to laugh at Jay’s shocked expression. His mouth open and his eyes wide.
Jay stared at him for a solid five seconds before finally speaking. “What?”
“I like Ferrari now.”
“No.” Jay answered immediately. “Jay,” you warned, already laughing. “No, because what do you mean you ‘like Ferrari now’?” Jay asked, pointing at his son now, “Since when?”
Ji-ho shrugged, “I don’t know, recently.”
Jay looked genuinely distressed. “You’ve been supporting Red Bull for years now.” “Appa, i’m seven.”
“Babe, stop laughing. This is serious.”
A few days later, you found Jay opening a package in the living room. “What did you buy?”
He turned towards you, sighing dramatically, “A Ferrari hoodie.” you blinked, surprised, “For Ji-ho?”
“Yeah. Unfortunately.”
You smiled, “You’re such a softie, even though he doesn’t support your team, you’re still spoiling him.”
The moment Ji-ho saw it, his whole face lit up. “Really?!”
“Don’t make me regret buying you this.”
Ji-ho threw his arms around him. “Thanks, Appa!” Jay froze before hugging him back, his expression softening. You watched from the doorway, smiling at your two boys.
Later that night, “You finally accepted him supporting another team?” you said, putting your arms around him once he got into bed. His hair had gotten longer over the past few months, soft dark strands falling into his eyes whenever he looked down.
You were constantly fixing it, playing with it, or taking photos of him whenever you had the chance.
“You’re staring again, love.” Jake said, trying not to laugh.
“I can stare all I want.” you replied, reaching over and brushing a piece of hair away from his face. “I just think your hair looks nice.”
Jake rolled his eyes affectionately.
Across the table, your five year old, Jaehyun was eating his pancakes while looking between the two of you.
“Eomma likes appa’s hair.” he announces, mouth full of pancakes.
“Close your mouth baby.”
Jaehyun quickly chewed and swallowed, grinning innocently. “Sorry, eomma.”
You smiled and ruffled his hair, “Thank you, baby.”
Jake laughed softly before taking another sip of his coffee, “Well, me and Jaehyun are going to get our hair cut today.”

An hour later, you heard the front door open. “Eomma! We’re back!” you heard Jaehyun yell while running to the living room where you were. Jake closely behind.
“Look eomma! My hair!” Jaehyun ran into your lap, showing off his haircut. You looked down at Jaehyun and smiled. He looked so much like your Jake.
His dark hair was neatly trimmed now. He looked so proud of it that you couldn’t help reaching up and fixing it. “Oh my baby,” you cooed, pressing kisses all over his cheeks. “You look so handsome.”

Even before getting together with Jungwon, Heeseung had acted like an older protective brother. He always made sure you were eating well, taking breaks from studying, and no one was messing with you.
“Good morning, y/n.” you heard as you were walking into the kitchen, lifting your head and seeing Heeseung already eating ramyeon.
“Morning,” you mumbled sleepily.
Heeseung looked you up and down once before narrowing his eyes. “You just woke up?”

“What time did you sleep?”
You froze, already knowing you were going to get scolded. “Why?”
“y/n.” He said, his voice becoming serious.

He stood up and walked to the fridge, grabbing two water bottles.
A moment later, he returned and placed it infront of you. “Here. Drink this and eat something before you go.”
“Yes dad.” you teased.
“Don’t call me that.”
You laughed as he shook his head.
From the hallway, a tired Jungwon suddenly appeared. “What’s going on?”
Heeseung pointed at you, “She slept at three.”
Jungwon jaw dropped, walking to you and hugging you from behind. “Babe, at three? What did I tell you.”
You got up quickly, and escaped his hug, “Okay, bye! I’m leaving!” you yelled, before they could start lecturing you more.
The last thing you heard was Heeseungs laughter, and Jungwon shouting your name.

Jay remembered everything about you. Your favorite dessert, your favorite drink, your favorite store. But that’s just how Jay had always been. He remembers everything about his members, it made sense that he remembers everything about his friends girlfriend.
You were hanging out in the dorm living room while the members were scattered around doing their own things. Jay had just come back from running errands and dropped a small shopping bag infront of you. “This is for you.”
You looked up from your phone confused, you never remembered asking him for anything. “Huh?”
Jay nodded towards the bag. “Open it.” Confused you opened it. Inside was a sweater, but not just any sweater.
It was a sweater you had been wanting for a while now. Your eyes widened.
“I saw you looking at it a couple weeks ago.”
“And you remembered?!” you asked, still in shock.

Jake had been excited about your relationship before it had even officially started.
When he noticed Jungwon liked you, he became his biggest supporter.
He was the easiest to get close with. The moment he found out you liked legos, you became even closer.
“Oh! hey y/n, you’re here early.” Jake said from the couch when he heard you come in. “Yeah, Jungwon texted me he’s going to be 20 minutes late and to just come here.”
“Wanna build a new lego set with me?” he said, grinning, already knowing you were going to say yes.
“…Go get it.”
Ten minutes later, you were sitting on the floor with pieces spread out everywhere. “Pass me the blue one.” Jake handed you the piece.
“Thanks.”
When Jungwon came back, he didn’t expect to see you and Jake on the floor. “Um, what’s happening?”
“Oh wonie! you’re here!” you said, getting up from the floor and hugging him tightly. “Eww, go do that on your own time.” Jake said.

“Oh wow just jump me then.”
“Back to my question though, what are you guys doing?” Jungwon asked.
“Oh Jake got a new set, and we decided to work on it while waiting for you.” you answered, still holding on to him.

At first, it was awkward between you and Sunghoon. Not because of anything personal but because he was more quiet than the rest.
But he slowly became someone who was always there for you.
If Jungwon wasn’t at the dorms that day, and you wanted to go on a walk. Sunghoon would accompany you.
When you need advice, Sunghoon would be there.
It became a normal thing between you guys. He tried to act like he didn’t care by making up excuses.
Jungwon had practice running late and you were sitting down on the dorm couch feeling a little restless. You texted Jungwon. No reply.
You sighed and stood up. A couple of seconds later— “Where are you going?” a voice came from the kitchen. You looked over, seeing Sunghoon staring at you, “Just going to walk outside for a bit.”
He nodded like he didn’t care. “…It’s cold out.”
“I’ll be fine.” you replied.
He didn’t answer, just grabbed his jacket and put his shoes on. “I’m going out anyway.”

Sunoo became your best friend immediately.
He was also very affectionate, the kind of affection where you forget you weren’t always friends.
The first time you realized it, you were sitting in the living room, wearing Jungwons hoodie while scrolling on tiktok.
Sunoo walked in, saw you and immediately lit up. “Y/n!”
Before you could even respond properly, he was already beside you on the couch. “What are you doing?”
“Nothing, just waiting for Jungwon.” you said, putting down your phone.

“With what?”
He held up his phone, “I need your opinion.”
By the time Jungwon came back from the store, you and Sunoo were sitting side by side on the couch.

You squinted, “Mmm, the left one.”

Ni-ki was like an annoying younger brother you never asked for.
The moment you walk into the dorm, he’s already there ready to annoy you.

Jungwon just sighed, not wanting to deal with you guys fighting.
That night, the dorm was finally silent.
No chaos. No yelling. No teasing.
Just the soft hum of the TV in the background and the occasional sound of footsteps down the hall.
You were sitting up on the bed, your back on the headboard, curled up under a blanket when Jungwon finally dropped down beside you with a tired sigh. “Long day?” you asked. He nodded, leaning his head against your shoulder. “Ni-ki almost broke my patience today.”
You let out a small laugh. “That sounds about right.” Jungwon lifted his head up to look at you properly. Like he was taking a moment to just see you.
“You’re always here,” he said softly.
“I mean yeah, where else would I be?” you replied. He smiled a little at that, then shifted closer, slipping his hand into yours.
For a moment, it was quiet again. Comfortable.
Then Jungwon spoke again, quieter this time. “You know…” he started, thumb lightly tracking over your knuckles, “I like how they take care of you in their own way.”
You tilted your head slightly. “Even Ni-ki? He literally bullies me 24/7.”
Jungwon let out a soft laugh. “Yeah. Even him.” He squeezed your hand gently. “Even though he bullies you, he still cares for you.”
You looked at him, and he looked back—calm, sincere.
“They like you,” he continued. “Heeseung checks up on you like you’re his responsibility. Jay remembers everything about you. Jake drags you into whatever he’s doing. Sunghoon pretends he doesn’t care but is always there. Sunoo follows you around like you’re going to disappear. And Ni-ki…” he paused, smiling a little, “acts like he’s annoyed by your presence but is always the first one to defend you.”
His expression softened again as he leaned his shoulder gently against yours. “I like it.” he added. “It means I don’t have to worry as much when i’m not there.”
That made you go quiet for a second. “…You worry too much.” you mumbled.
Jungwon hummed. “It’s kind of my job.”
“It’s not.”
“It is if you’re mine.”
Your face warmed slightly at that, and turned your head away to hide it.
Jungwon noticed anyway. He noticed everything about you.
He smiled, satisfied, and pulled your hand a little closer.
Outside the room, faint laughter echoed from the hallway—probably Ni-ki arguing with someone again.
But inside, it was just you and Jungwon.
Jungwon leaned his head lightly against yours. “…I’m lucky,” he murmured. You glanced at him. “For what?”
“For you,” he said simply. Then after a pause, he added softer—“And for them caring of you too.” You didn’t reply right away. You just squeezed his hand back.

“Babe i’ll be fine,” Ni-ki says with a smug smirk. “We’ll only be outside for like ten minutes, I don’t think i’ll get sick.”
“But Riki it’s freezing out there, you’re gonna regret it.”
Those ten minutes quickly turned into thirty when the two of you spotted a cat.
The morning after, Ni-ki immediately regretted not wearing a jacket.
But he would never admit that to you.
He woke up with a pounding headache, a sore throat that would burn whenever he swallowed. His nose was stuffed, and his body ached.
Still, he dragged himself out of bed. Making his way to the kitchen where he knew he would find you.
The smell of coffee filled the apartment, and the sound of your phone playing a random tiktok echoed throughout the kitchen.
Ni-ki paused at the doorway. His hair was a mess, his eyes looked as if he didn’t sleep for days, and his oversized hoodie hung off his frame. He looked and felt terrible.
“Morning, love.” he rasped out before coughing harshly.
Your head snapped up from your phone, wide eyes staring at him.
“Babe, no offense, but you look terrible.”
Ni-ki’s eyebrows furrowed. “I do not.”
“You absolutely do.”
He rolled his eyes, thinking you were just being dramatic.
Before you could say anything else, he shuffled across the kitchen and wrapped his arms around your waist, burying his face into your neck.
“M’ fine.” he grumbled out.
“C’mon baby, let’s get you back to bed.” you said softly, starting to get out of his embrace.
His hold on your waist tightens immediately once he feels you try to slip out. “I’ll be okay, let’s just stay like this for a bit.”
You lift your hand and put it in his hair to softly stroke it, feeling his body relax. “You’ll be more comfortable in bed Riki, you don’t have to let go of me either, just walk with me babe.”
Ni-ki let out a quiet groan, but loosened his grip enough to let you get up from the chair.
He refused to let go completely, he kept one arm wrapped around your waist as the two of you slowly made your way back to the room. He leaned more of his weight against you, clearly exhausted.
“I’ll be right back, i’m just gonna grab some medicine quickly.” you said as you pulled the blanket over his body.
His eyes snapped open, grabbing your hand before you got too far. “Wait, I want a kiss.” he said, starting to lean in. You leaned back a bit, not wanting to get sick from him, “Riki, you’re sick. I can’t kiss you right now.”
Ni-ki’s face immediately dropped. “What do you mean no.” he asked, genuinely offended.
“If you get me sick I won’t be able to take care of you!”
He frowned and tightened his grip on your hand. “It’s just one kiss!”
“You always say that and it leds to another kiss and then another kiss. It’s never just one kiss with you babe.” you stated while giggling a bit, “Now, let me get you some medicine and food so you can rest a bit.”
He groaned dramatically, letting his head fall back against the pillows. “You’re being cruel.”
You came back a couple minutes later with water, medicine, and a bit of food so he didn’t take the pills on an empty stomach.
The second Ni-ki saw you come back, some of the grumpiness left his face. “Why’d you take so long.”
“I barely took ten minutes. Eat some food and then take the medicine.”
“If I take the medicine will you kiss me?”
“Maybe.”
“Oh then i’m not taking it if it’s not a yes.”
You clearly forgot how dramatic and sassy he could get when he was sick or upset. “Fine then, i’ll give you a kiss if you take the medicine. I just need you to get better baby.” you replied, moving his hair from his face while he leaned into your hand.
He quickly ate and took the medicine, turning to you once he finished. “I want my kiss now.”
You leaned in, kissing him gently but still for a couple of seconds or else he would sulk if it was to short.
“I love you.” he said, starting to doze off.
You kissed his forehead one more time before responding, “I love you too, Riki.”

You feel Jake shift lightly next to you. Your eyes start to slightly open, the sunlight blinding you for a moment. “Eomma, wake up!” your son says, now being in the room and shaking you to get up.
You groan and sit up, stretching lightly while Jaehyun, your five year old climbs up on your bed.
Jake slowly starts to get up too, hearing your son repeating “Eomma”.
“What happened Jaehyun-ah?” you ask, your voice raspy from sleep. “I’m cold.” he says, lifting the blanket up a bit and pushing Jake.
Jake lets out a dramatic gasp, still half asleep. “Yah, why am I getting kicked in my own bed this early?”
Jaehyun ignores him completely, crawling straight into your lap and wrapping his tiny arms around you. “Appa, move.”
You can’t help but giggle a bit while Jake stares at his son in betrayal. His messy hair falls into his eyes as he rubs his tired eyes. “You only love eomma these days.”
Jaehyun nods. “Eommas warm, you’re not.”
“Okay now that’s actually rude,” Jake mutters.
You smile, pulling the warm blanket over Jaehyuns shoulders. He instantly melts against you, his cheek pressing into your chest while his small hands cling to your shirt.
Jake watches the two of you for a second before scooting closer, wrapping on arm around your waist and the other around Jaehyun. “We can group cuddle then so your eomma can keep us both warm.”
“No squishing, appa.” Jaehyun warns.
Jake pokes his son’s cheek. “You’re bossy for someone who came in here at seven in the morning.”
Jaehyun hides his face into you more. “I had a bad dream.”
The teasing in Jakes expression softens immediately. “Oh,” he brushes Jaehyuns hair back. “Why didn’t you say that at first?”
“There was a monster,” he mumbles. “A big one.”
Jake gasps dramatically again. “A monster?! And appa wasn’t there to fight it?”
“Appa you lost.”
You burst into laughter while Jake clutches his chest. “Wow. Babe, are you hearing this. My own son thinks I’d lose.”
“You cried,” Jaehyun states.
“That’s a lie.” Jake says, looking even more offended.
Jaehyun finally giggles, the sleepy clinginess fading into a better mood. Jakes smile getting wider at the sound of hearing his son laugh.
After a few more minutes of being tangled together, Jaehyun lifts his head, his chin resting on your chest, “I’m hungry.”
“Want me to get up and make pancakes?” you ask, raising your hand to move his hair from his face.
Jaehyun nods, while Jake groans at the thought of getting up.
“Why can’t we just stay asleep? It’s way too early.”

“Why are you like this babe?” he asks, trying to sound annoyed while you’re still holding his cheeks. “They’re soft, and your face looks cute!” you say simply, squishing them again.
He huffs, but never does anything to stop you.
Eventually, he starts leaning into it.
He sees you raise your hands slightly, and tilts his head towards you. “See! you do like it,” you laugh. “If it makes you happy, then it makes me happy.” he says, smiling.

You randomly hold his hand…but in a weird way. It wasn’t normal hand-holding, sometimes it would be just one finger, or his sleeve, or the edge of his hoodie.
Jungwon notices quickly, “Jagi, why are you just holding…my pinky?” You shrug, “It’s enough.”
He finds it funny at first, but also kind of endearing.
While walking together, instead of grabbing his hand, you lightly hook onto his sleeve. He looks down, and pauses.
“…That’s it?” he asks. You gave a slight nod while looking up at him. He gently takes your hand properly, intertwining your fingers and starts walking again. “Upgrade,” he says.
But a few minutes later, he notices you’ve moved to holding his pinky. He smiles to himself, “Okay, that’s fine too!” while leaning down and giving your forehead a quick kiss.

You randomly laugh. Not at jokes, not at anything. Just…out of nowhere. The first time it happens, Ni-ki is rambling about practice and a new move he tried out—and suddenly you start giggling.
He stops mid-sentence, “…What?”
You’re still laughing, trying to calm down but you can’t. “Nothing.” you manage to say in between giggles. He stares at you, concerned but slightly smiling. “There’s no way it’s nothing, you just started laughing like a maniac.”
“Ay don’t call me a maniac.” you say, offended while shaking your head, covering your mouth. “I just remembered something.”
“What was it?”
“…I forgot.”
He blinks, and stares blankly at you, “You’re laughing at something you don’t even remember?”
“Yes.”
After that, it just keeps happening.
You’ll be sitting quietly, just on your phone—then suddenly, “pfft—“
Ni-ki immediately looks at you, surprised, “Babe, again?” You’re already laughing harder, leaning into him without thinking.
He still gets confused, but eventually starts waiting for it.
One day, you’re both cuddling in comfortable silence after a hard day. He sneaks glances at you, waiting for the random cackle from you. “It’s been too quiet…” he says, suspiciously.
You look up, an eyebrow raised in confusion, “What?”
“You’ve been too quiet, you haven’t laughed in like 15 minutes.” You roll your eyes. “That’s not a thing, you’re being dramatic.”
A few seconds later—you snort softly and start laughing again. He snaps up and points at you. “SEE, I KNEW IT.” You hid your face embarrassed. “Stop!”
But he’s already laughing too, louder than you now.
