hi everyone! my name is mallory, and welcome to my body mod journey. 🕯️

through this blog, i'm looking to reclaim my body and beauty in the most intentional and ancestral way possible. this is where i'll be documenting all of it — my piercings, my ear stretching milestones, all the messy, sacred, and soft parts of my journey.

i decided to make this space because i needed somewhere to be raw and real about what body modification means to me - not just the aesthetics (though that's a big part of it), but the healing, the ritual, and the ancestral connection that comes with it. i'm doing this for past versions of me. for other black girls who are into body mods but have trouble expressing themselves or seeing themselves in alternative spaces. for our ancestors who wore stretched ears and markings long before it was trendy or aesthetic. 🌀
