Part of a styled outfit that I put together two New Years Eves ago. I was in a really manipulative and codependent relationship, living in LA trying to model and act. We were supposed to go to a friends party, but as we were getting ready to leave a really intense emotional "battle" of sorts broke out and turned into hours of ugliness. When the dust had finally cleared for the evening it was too late to go do anything, but I still wanted to take time to get all crazy dressed up and do something. A handful of pictures were snapped of my clothes and makeup, and my big going out debut was a walk through Little Armenia to the gas station to buy cigarettes. This story goes out to anyone in a bad relationship. Don't make excuses for someone else's bad behavior. Love is real, but I don't think it conquers all like some would have you believe. Love is healthy and it's out there. Also, this story is some of the beginnings of me talking about why I've been so all over the place the last few years. It's not that I haven't been creating, it's just having the inspiration left to show it in a world that wants logos and brands and definitions immediately. Hey! Did you know that I'm in the Fall issue of Auxiliary with an editorial styled and shot by @gail_kilker wearing @reneemasoomian latex? I'm really excited, it was a gorgeous shoot right before I moved to NorCal, and I haven't been able to share any of the photos while we waited for publication! Currently I'm sitting in the ophthalmologist office trying to discover why my eyes haven't gotten better in ten days. I've been out of work, which has been great if my mental and emotional health, but serious hell on finances. But I'm really excited for this publication! Also, the fabulous @thejinntonic is featured! Oh hey, it me! Taken a year ago by a friend at the restaurant where I now currently work. Totally dedicated gluten free bistro and bakery! It's been a blessing to be there, but that's why I disappeared for a bit after my birthday, just getting used to working full time again (also had two jobs for a little) hope everyone is well! It's not easy being green! Also, I'm glad I took it out, but I miss my nose ring... I'll come back to modeling soon ;)
