This is a collection of modern day fairy tales, folklore, and the everyday experiences of those who work with the Fair Folk. A website dedicated to the spread of knowledge and to assist all who work with them [Fair Folk]. A blog meant to help unite the Fae community both on tumblr and off. Who exactly do we mean by Fair Folk? It is one of many titles used to describe fairies (faeries, fae, fey, etc). To submit your own personal experiences, practices, folklore, fairy-tales, and what not please send it to our main email address (Or our Tumblr Blog).
Hello! I just found you blog and am loving it so far, so sorry if you have already answered this, but whats UPG and USG?
Unverified personal gnosis; information you receive directly through meditative or otherwise supernatural means. Working within a group however can help verify experience.
I've never worked with fae before, and I'm following a lot of people that do, and I was just wondering what does that really mean? What sort of work do you do with them? I guess certain faeworkers align themselves with courts, how does that happen? You can publish this if you want to, if you've already answered this before you can just link the question or post instead of answering mine again.
It truly depends on you who ask and their background. Some are more traditionalists who stick to the histories and lore surrounding fae that have been recorded by men and women. Some may full from a more pop culture source. Some mix and match. Some go on purely personal experiences.
Depending how they view fae will alter the way that they practice fae. Who they meet also can change a lot too.
Personally, I pull from some from Welsh lore and a lot from personal experiences because how I entered this realm of fae was very in my face from fae channeling through people I'm friends with. So I had a very intense introduction to this realm. And because of who I was interacting with at the time caused me to work with the Moo Court, which was my access into a fae court system. Others probably did not and may not have the experiences I had but doesn't make any of them less real.
There is no real set ways in approaching the realm of fae because it is so diverse and in plenty just like many human cultures. Again, this is simply how I view and approach this.
Do you know of any fae courts, specifically in Minneapolis? Any knowledge of Lake Superior fae would be appreciated too!! Thank you.
I would not be surprised if there were local courts of spirits and fae up in that area. I have never been to Minneapolis or any of the Lake Superior area so I can not answer your question confidently, my apologies.
Hi! First of all, I wanted to say that I love your blog! I wanted to ask about something that made me raise an eyebrow; in one of your posts you mentioned the Ankoù as part of the fairy folk. I'm Breton and really into folklore yet I've never seen/heard him mentioned as such anywhere. We have different fairy "peoples" or "tribes" but to my knowledge he is a *spirit*, not a fairy. In more recent folklore he is the last deceased of the year, and according to certain historians he derived from a ch
a chtonian deity. I was just curious; why do you refer to him as part of the fairy folk? Thank you! :)
Fairy, demon, angel; all words for spirits of the land. A division seen in a lot of occult literature is that of light vs dark; empyrean vs cthonain ; seelie and unseelie. The 2 halves of a coin are not in some immortal war; they coexist. But they do exist.
In an experiment a few years back, a hypnotist read his patients some experts from the bible of angels communing with people. He then hypnotized them somehow into an OBE. All the patients reported experience somewhat similar to that of the particular passages they had been reading. Your subjective perspective will influence how and what you interact with, and subjectivity is the filter of the ego that divides your material perception from the spirit world.
As most of the mods in this blog work from a perspective of fairies, that is how they filter, and work with universal entities.
Hello everyone this is Mod Sam. I have officially decided to withdraw from this community as a mod because personally I believe I am not active enough on this community to be considered as one. I tried answering a few questions before posting this decision to the community.
If you like I am always willing the answer questions on my fae blog, but since I've busy with school and work I may not answer them right away.
Thank you all for supporting this community despite some of its inactivities.
Is it possible to be Faeid even if nobody else in your family (including parents and grandparents) is?
It definitely is, as being a changeling is possible. Fae blood also works in very odd ways, and if you have a fae ancestor somewhere in your ancestral line it's likely that it decided to pop up in you.
Hi there! If you wouldn't mind, what are some ways in which you think would work to attract fae of the moon court?
There is no specific way to attract fae from the moon court. They function just like any other fae so you would do whatever you find is best to attract fae. My only suggestion that may increase your chances of meeting one is doing them during a full moon or new moon. Those two phases of the moon are the most extreme and moon court fae are often out and about during these times.
Have you ever come across another human while journeying in the faelands?
Only whilst intentionally traveling with a friend. Occasionally you might run across people during states of dreamtime. Perhaps if they are thinking of you during this state.
That it was probably created by someone. Night is to day as Qlippa is to Kabbalah, and the moon is to the sun. Yin and yang are a micro and macrocosmic duality of the sub and super conscious facets of the human mind.
Depending on the type of fae I wish to attract, what types of good should I give as offering?
Candy and shiny things are always safe choices, as are flowers and other naturally found things, like acorns. Always keep the type of fae in mind as well; where a brownie might appreciate a fancy little broom a cait sidhe would appreciate milk or meat of some sort.
Has anyone ever heard of someone called the "Mirror King"? He has also gone by the "Lost King" or the "Forgotten King", but I don't think he goes by those names anymore. It's kind of complicated. Whenever I meditate, I can't focus or concentrate on anything else but this, but I'm not getting anywhere. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
It is an offspring by a troll, faerie, elf, or other legendary creatures that have been secretly left in the place of a child. Sometimes the term is also used to refer to the child who was taken.
Technically it is still an active blog but rarely anyone answers any of the questions anymore. We submit the questions into the drafts for answering so everyone has a chance to answer it but they sit there for months. I try to get to it every once in awhile when I have time. I have a job and doing graduate school so that limits my time on social media. I’m sure all the mods are in similar situations.
