@sinn_spezialuhren is not one of our favorite dive watch makers. Though capable, they're a bit uninspired. But we're loving their 206 Artkis II dive chronograph newly introduced this year. It works down to 300m and tested below -80°F. It has a neat secure dive bezel and the venerable Valjoux Chronograph movement shown behind the sapphire caseback and too many features to list for under $3800. To me lots of watch brands and models are like car makes and models. Take this #panerai Luminar Submersible. Its like an Alfa Romeo - machismo and polarizing style with excellent performance. It's a classic tool diver that hasn't changed much since its inception. We're not prone tho follow limited or special edition watches. We don't speculate on watch collecting but just like the El Primero anniversary edition, this 50th Anniversary Apollo 11 Speedmaster is an exception. We all must know about it. @glycinewatches combat sub can be had in 42mm & 48mm 200m cases for $700 or $1000 respectively. Though it's a brand that's tough to get here in the US, it'd a respected Swiss brand for tough reliable diving watches with a reputable history early in the beginnings of submersible watches. Massdrop has a great deal on these right now saving you even more. These are all spec`d very well, I'll just not a fan of the design choices for the dial, lume and hands . For $3450, this @breitling Superocean Automatic 42mm tries to compete with Tudor and Omega offerings at this price point but does so with a prettied up ETA movement where the best are using in house calibres. Though its still a certified chronometer and a 500m case there are better values in the segment. @chriswardlondon introduces a new Trident Pro 600. It appears to be a fantastic value at $910 for 600 meter depth rating, ceramic bezel, shock resistant Sellita movement, great lume and a solid steele bracelet. Though the dial is a bit derivative, if you like the style of this 42mm tool diver, it's definitely a great value. @bellrosswatches BR03-92 watch is such a clean, legible and tough tool watch. It's definitely not derivative as many in the category are, so you have to give it credit for going it's own way design wise, even though there are better values than the $3700 price conveys. This @oris BigCrown ProPilot Worldtimer isn't a tool diver we're covering this month, but a new and notable Pilot offering we though you should know. With just a twist of the bezel, you can easily set the local hour on the main dial in seconds. Such a simple solution for a GMT watch that is no doubt a complicated innovation to make happen. $3600 to $3800 depending on strap/bracelet. Can't wait to dig into them later on. Deep Blue is one of this smaller brands we're careful with. Not all their tool divers make much of a value proposition just because they're inexpensive. But the Master 2000 is hard to ignore. 2000 meter depth rating, sapphire Crystal and ETA movement for $999. It's at least a bargain if the design and style execution is your thing. As far as a luxury tool diver goes, is there a better one that can go from the beach to date night than this while having true diving cred than this @omega #PlanetOcean? I think it balances, useful sport, luxury and horology better than most for around $7000 and not be afraid to wear it anywhere. It's my favorite luxury tool diver.
