Only having attended Hogwarts for a couple years, the castle was still a mystery to her though still it was much better than the cold, dull halls of Durmstrang. She hadn’t missed her old school for a second, the change in scenery, everything about Hogwarts was a great deal better. Even the people she preferred, minus a few close friends at Durmstrang, she didn’t really have a close connection to many. But at Hogwarts, especially in Hufflepuff, the brunette found herself making a nice group of friends.

But even so, she still managed to get lost with how vast it all truly was. Hearing shuffling in the windowsill, Astrid’s curiosity got the better of her and her feet diverted, eyes catching sight of a familiar and welcoming face, a friendly grin curving onto her features. “Now if I didn’t know any better, I’d say you look about as lost as I feel, which would make me feel a lot better about not finding my way through this maze of a castle.”

Hearing a familiar voice lifted Ted’s spirits and he lifted his gaze to his housemate. Astrid was a nice girl to Ted’s knowledge and he found her presence to be reassuring to his predicament. “God, you’ve got no idea!” He laughed as he sat a little straighter.

“I’m in my sixth year here and somehow still manage to get tripped up by the secrets of Hogwarts. How are you holding up?”

He really should have just kept walking, but the other student looked lost. Incredibly lost. Pathetically lost, even. Granted, Regulus could understand how one might find themselves lost in this labyrinth of a school, b then he’d remind himself he wasn’t like them. The youngest Black prided himself on being able to memorize almost anything, even the things he wanted to forget most.

“Not to disturb your — whatever this is… But you wouldn’t happen to be lost by any chance, would you?” Just ask, Regulus. If he isn’t lost, then at least you can thank the stars that this school isn’t entirely filled with twits. “The view must be utterly fascinating.”

Ted startled at the sudden question. He’d always been rather jumpy but he smiled over at his classmate. “Oh, uh, the secret passageway that I swore usually dumped me on the second floor left me here so I’m not entirely sure where I am.”

A slight shrug lifted his shoulders as he tried not to feel too terribly embarrassed. He recognized Regulus from around the school and from his classes. “Oh, er, the view’s fine I suppose. I’m just buying time mostly.”

Sirius was walking down the stairs, well, it was more like stomping after spending the morning arguing with his family members. He was in such a mood he nearly missed Ten, sitting on the windowsill. “Ted?” Sirius asked, pausing. He made his way over, pleased to find a friendly face. He looked over at the man, a smile on Sirius’ face. “Don’t tell me you’re another one staying inside this castle on the weekend?”

Ted looked up at the familiar voice addressing him. Sirius Black was a boy older than himself that always seemed to be ‘up to no good’ as he had heard it. He was always a bit envious of the self-proclaimed Marauders but he managed to stay rather chipper if he did say so himself.

“Ah, actually, I seem to have landed myself in a bit of a bind here,” Ted responded with a nervous chuckle. “Somehow I’ve gotten myself lost again. It’s not all that common but..” He trailed off, not wanting to lie to Sirius. “Mind helping me a tad?”
