1. The Bag – The first step to packing a beach bag is to have a fabulous bag! Try to get a bag that’s large, lightweight and water resistant!

4. Speakers – Tanning can get boring if you can’t blast your tunes!
5. Portable Charger – You’ll run down your phone battery pretty quickly is you don’t have one of these on hand!
6. Reading Materials – Novels or magazines it doesn’t matter, as long as you have something to occupy your tan time!
7. Sun Protection – Sunscreen and lip balm are important items to bring to protect your skin. Be sure to reapply every hour!
8. Leave-In Conditioner – Rehydrate your hair on the way home so your hair won’t get sun damaged, hard and brittle.
9. Water Bottle – Keep yourself hydrated and cool while out in the hot sun.
10. Cleansing Wipes – These are great to have on hand if your hands or face start to feel grimy and sweaty. Protect your pores by cleaning your face every so often and reapplying your sunscreen.

Host Your Own Tea Party
As the weather warms up and it feels good to be outside, try hosting your own garden tea party! This is a different type of party everyone should throw at least once because not only is it a change of pace from parties you are probably used to, but you can also decorate with food and flowers! The first step in decorating for your tea party is to make sure there is enough greenery and flowers around the table to incorporate a spring theme. You don’t necessarily need to use a table cloth, but if you’re going to use one, be sure to use one that will help accentuate the mood – white, pastels or one with a bold floral design. Using glass tableware is better for outdoor garden parties because it sparkles in the sunlight! Be sure to use dessert stands with varying heights to give focus on the beautifully made food. Remember it’s all about presentation! Be sure to offer more than tea – we know it’s called a tea party, but many people may not like tea, so make sure to have a signature cocktail, coffee or soft drinks as well. Be sure to keep these tips in mind when you’re designing your tea party!
Stock Up On These Clothes for the Summer
Many of the biggest trends for spring and summer are ones we’ve seen a lot of in the past years, but with new patterns and unexpected twists. Even though you may have a lot of these pieces in your closet already, be sure to buy at least one of each of these newer pieces because not only will you have instantly updated your wardrobe for the summer, you can mix and match last years outfits with this years. The following should be the staples of your summer wardrobe:
1. The 60’s hippie look has been in for a while with maxi dresses and skirts, but this season’s collections have seen a more romantic and whimsical designs with longer sleeves, thinner material and higher necklines.
2. You know the rule – no white after labor day! Good thing white is the go-to color for this summer. Different hues ranging from cream to bridal white are making their way into stores all over the world. Not only will this color complement your tan, but the color goes with anything you have in your closet.
3. The best trend (for our feet anyway) is the resurrection of flats and sneakers for this season’s footwear. There wasn’t any emphasis on heels or wedges (surprisingly) on the runway at all, so viva la flats!
