In the 95 was released '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?' and the so-called Britpop spread waves remembering the world of the power of british rock. Those waves landed in Brazil with a thrilling force, setting the grounds to a new era of Mod movement in the country. Some underground musicians played since the 80's and with this new scenario could finally see the possibilities being materialized. "A sétima efervêscencia" (1996) by the old regional underground icon Flávio Basso (now calling himself Júpiter 'Apple' Maçã) was the first expression of this scene. Mixing garage rock, tropicália, syd barret-inspired lyrics and a great influence of Kinks and Beatles this was a groundbreaking album, Coz' not tried to simply copy the british rock, but comprimissed itself in develop a particular aesthetics through a process of eating and digesting multicultural references (british music, american pop art, brazilian 60's music, big city issues and french 60's movies).

At the end... this was the first statement of a truly brazilian mod scene set at the 90's.
