The day the war reached my doorstep, everything changed. My home, once filled with the laughter of my children, was reduced to rubble. The walls that had once sheltered us crumbled under the weight of bombs, and with them, my sense of safety collapsed. In an instant, I lost not only my home but the life I had spent years building. My family and I were thrust into an abyss of uncertainty, forced to confront the harsh reality of survival in a world turned upside down by conflict.
The loss of our home was only the beginning. As the days turned into weeks, the toll of war spread its dark shadow over every part of our existence. My children, innocent and fragile, grew weak from malnutrition. The scarcity of food meant we had to ration every meal, never knowing when or if we would have enough to eat again. The once lively eyes of my children became hollow with hunger, their bodies frail from the lack of nourishment. And then came the sickness. The epidemic that swept through the region did not spare us. It preyed on the weak and vulnerable, and with our bodies already exhausted from hunger, we stood little chance.
I watched helplessly as my children suffered, their small bodies ravaged by fever and illness. There were no doctors, no medicine, no relief in sight. Every night, I prayed that they would make it through to the next morning, but with each passing day, their condition worsened. It is a pain no parent should ever have to endure—feeling powerless as your children’s health deteriorates before your eyes.
And yet, we could not stay in one place for long. The war forced us to move constantly, fleeing from one danger only to find ourselves in the path of another. We became nomads in our own land, displaced from place to place, desperately seeking a corner of safety. But even safety felt like a distant dream. Wherever we went, we carried the fear of death on our backs. Explosions echoed in the distance, and with every rumble, I would hold my children tighter, wondering if this would be the moment everything would end.
The tents that became our temporary shelters were no refuge from the elements. When the rains came, they brought more devastation. The water, which once symbolized life, turned into another enemy. It drenched everything we had left, flooding the tents and leaving us shivering and soaked. My children, already weak, suffered even more as the cold set in. The rain didn’t just fall from the sky—it drowned us, washing away the last remnants of hope we had clung to.
In those moments, I often found myself wondering how we had come to this point. How could life be so cruel, to strip away everything we had known and loved? My heart ached not just for my own family but for all the families around us, who had suffered similar fates. We were no longer individuals with dreams and futures; we had become numbers, faces in a crowd of the displaced, the forgotten, and the broken.
War does not only destroy buildings and landscapes—it destroys lives, dreams, and the very fabric of humanity. I lost my home, my stability, and for a time, my will to keep going. But I cannot afford to give up. Even though my heart is shattered, I must continue to fight for my children, for their future. Every day is a battle for survival, and though I have no idea what tomorrow holds, I cling to the hope that one day, we will rebuild. That one day, we will find peace in a world where war has taken so much from us.

In the besieged lands of Gaza, the search for drinking water unfolds as a tragic odyssey of endurance and deprivation. Every step taken to procure this fundamental necessity is laden with hardship and uncertainty. Families embark on wearying journeys, traversing long distances in pursuit of a simple sip of water. Yet, the wells of health and purity run dry, as contamination and scarcity cast a shadow over their quest. The echoes of war reverberate through their struggle, rendering the act of securing clean and uncontaminated water a poignant reminder of the entrenched suffering that defines life in Gaza.

One of the most heartbreaking realities for children is being displaced from their homes, their belongings, and their sense of security. In times of conflict, natural disasters, or political turmoil, children often find themselves torn away from the only world they have ever known. The suffering of being displaced goes beyond the physical aspect; it cuts deep into their emotional well-being and mental health.
Imagine a child forced to leave behind their favorite toys, their comforting routine, their familiar surroundings, and the loving faces of their family and friends. The sense of loss and confusion can be overwhelming for them, leaving them feeling abandoned and vulnerable in an unfamiliar and often hostile environment.
The trauma of displacement can have long-lasting effects on a child's development, leading to feelings of fear, anxiety, and depression. Without the stability of a home and a community to provide support and comfort, children may struggle to cope with the overwhelming sense of displacement, leading to a sense of rootlessness and despair.
In the midst of such suffering, it is crucial for communities, organizations, and governments to come together to provide a safe haven for displaced children. By offering shelter, education, and emotional support, we can help ease the pain of displacement and ensure that every child has the opportunity to heal and thrive despite the challenges they face.

My children were deprived of education in Gaza because of the war.. Now they are playing with kites. This is their utmost ambition, so help us get out of Gaza so that my children can be educated like the rest of the children in the world.

After my child, Adam, contracted a bacterial infection in his eyes, we went to the hospital in the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis to undergo the necessary tests. We were told the Al-Mawasi area was a designated humanitarian area. But we were surprised by a military operation in the area, and we were trapped for hours inside the hospital because of this operation.
My children spend their days in terror and panic. We do not know what we have done wrong to mean we are subjected to this painful event. My children have the right to live in safety and have the right to receive necessary medical treatment without fear.

Education in Gaza… Hope of returning to school after the war is impossible after all schools were destroyed
My children left their homes carrying their school bags full of their needs, taking everything they owned, displaced and searching for survival far from their home that was destroyed or threatened with bombing at the time. All schools in the Gaza Strip have been closed since the beginning of the aggression, and my children were deprived of their right to school education.
The question here is: Will education return to my children after the end of the war? And what are the consequences of destroying schools and using more than 200 schools as places for the displacement of civilians in the Strip?
Please help my children in any way to get out of Gaza so that they can have education, safety, the right to education and live safely away from war.
DO NOT SCROLL AWAY!!!!
